Keegan replied flatly, “Aider found out that Tammy had tricked Bella into signing some sort of transfer agreement, claiming to help her manage her assets. However, Tammy did not fulfill her promise and ran away with the funds. It was she who leaked the recording online. Maybe she’s taking revenge on her.”

Bella was never an honest person, and she had been taking advantage of others and exploiting them in the entertainment industry. Tammy was the closest person to her and naturally became one of her victims.

Not only that Tammy had not earned any money from Bella over the years, but she also had to endure Bella’s reckless humiliations and insults.

There was solid evidence that proved Bella’s wrongdoings, leaving no room for suspicions. Tammy knew that Bella’s glory days were over because there was no chance of turning the situation around, especially in a criminal case like this.

So, she lied to Bella and told her that she could be released on bail, but it would require a huge amount of money. Bella’s assets had already been frozen by then, but there were still sizeable funds she invested in under her parents’ name.

Bella had fallen from grace, and the time she spent in the lockup was not pleasant at all. She was a famous person in the country, so almost everyone she met there knew who she was.

She was insulted, ridiculed, and marginalized. In just over a week, she had lost almost ten pounds.

She had always been a slim person, so shedding ten pounds made her face look almost skeletal. She no longer exuded the charm of an idol. Instead, she seemed extremely dejected.

The days she spent in the lockup had taken a toll on her sanity. That was why she immediately authorized Tammy to withdraw funds from her investments to bail her out as soon as Tammy lied to her about it.

However, Tammy took the money, fled, and even stabbed her in the back.

Stella listened to Keegan’s words and said, “It’s pretty sad.”

Keegan was puzzled.

Then, Stella continued slowly, “It’s pretty sad that I couldn’t see the look on her face when she found out that Tammy had fled with her money. It must have been the most vivid expression she’s ever had in her life.”

Her words left Keegan speechless.

“It’s going to be the third day tomorrow. Is there any update from the kindergarten?”

Stella shook her head. “No. The students are attending classes as usual.”

“What is Ted’s plan?”

“Mr. Eldrich said that he’ll get the police involved tomorrow and let them handle it.”

Keegan frowned. “Won’t that escalate the situation?”

“Mr. Elrich said that is exactly what he wants.”

Keegan kept quiet for a moment before he said, “Will doing that have a negative impact on you?”

Stella massaged the back of Keegan’s head and replied with a you personally hired for me?”

“I’m just worried that something similar to the mall incident would happen again,” Keegan said in a low voice Stella responded, “The kids in the kindergarten and their parents are the only leverage they have. We’ll have to resort to this eventually if we want to evict them from the land. Mr. Eldrich has it all planned out.

Getting scolded and criticized is probably the worst thing that could happen, but I couldn’t be bothered less if it can cut off Hylda’s source of income.”

Keegan pursed his lips. “I’ll sleep here tonight,” he said.

Stella was taken aback.

“I’ll be staying here until this matter comes to an end,” he added.

Stella was now confused.

Keegan looked at her and said, “I have to watch you and make sure that you won’t get hurt again.”

Stella helplessly replied, “Felicity is staying here with me. How can you live here?”

“I’m not going to sleep in the living room. I’m staying in your room.” Keegan confidently said.

Stella’s eyelid twitched. “Who cares where you’ll be sleeping? It’s inappropriate for you to live here!”

Keegan seemed to realize something. After thinking to himself for a moment, he said, “I’m not going to do anything like that as long as you don’t actively seduce me.”

The edge of Stella’s mouth twitched. “What nonsense are you talking about? I’m saying that it’ll be inconvenient for Felicity if a grown man like you were to stay here! She’s not going to feel comfortable bumping into you while going to the washroom to get a shower or something!”
