Chapter 1260
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
Keegan was confused.
âWhy are you buying that? We donât need them anyway,â he asked in a low voice.
Stella placed the order as she spoke. âWho told you Iâm going to use them with you? Iâm buying them for Vermont.â
Keeganâs eyelid twitched, as he raised his voice unintentionally. âFor him? Are you that close to him to the point you can buy something like this for him?â
Stella rolled her eyes at him. âWhat are you talking about? Iâm just looking out for Felicity! Can I expect men like you to have any integrity?â
Keegan kept quiet.
âThere are different sizes.â Stella frowned and turned to Keegan. âWhich one should I buy?â she asked.
Keegan was taken aback.
âHow am I supposed to know?â
Then, Stella said puzzledly, âHave you never taken a peek at him when you go to the washroom together? Just to compare?â
The edge of Keeganâs mouth twitched. âStop reading those trashy novels!â
Stella curled her lips. âI have no idea which one to buy.â
Keegan glanced at her. âWhat is the question that Vermont didnât answer in Duncanâs wedding?â
Stella paused, as a question immediately popped into her head. âMore or less than twelve?
âHe skipped it without answering. Could it be⦠less than?â
She looked at Keegan. âJust follow your heart,â Keegan said flatly.
So, Stella picked the smallest one.
In unit 902, Felicity vented, âKeegan is such a scum! He didnât win Stellaâs heart back through genuine means! Heâs playing dirty! How could he put the blame on you and threaten me just because he wants to stay together with Stella? Heâs such a wicked person!â
Vermont sighed. âHe lost his father at such a young age, and his mother never cared much about him.
He had a tough childhood, and itâs normal for him to have some personality disorders.â
Felicity continued to vent her anger and scolded Keegan until she ran out of breath. She turned around and saw Vermont sitting on the couch and playing with the cat. She immediately felt frustrated. âArenât you mad that heâs putting the blame on you?â
Not only that heâs not angry, but he still has the mood to play with the cat. Is he that kind-hearted?â
Felicity wondered to herself.
Vermont lifted his gaze and said, âI am, but what can I do about it? Keegan has always been like this anyway. And, heâs been through a lot to win Stella back. As his best friend, I canât just ruin his chances at a time like this, right?â
Felicity pouted. âYouâre a pretty loyal friend.â
Vermont smiled without speaking.
Keegan had already handed Vermont the opportunity on a silver platter, and Vermont figured that he truly deserved to be single if he could not seize it.
Then, he said, âThere are two empty rooms here. You can sleep in either of them.â
Felicity did not really mind, as she thought that Keegan would leave after staying for a few days. So, she casually answered, âAny of them will do. Just let me sleep in the room that youâre not using.â
âWell, sleep in the one next to the master bedroom. The window faces the sun and has good lighting.â
Vermont said that because the two rooms shared a balcony, and he figured that it would make things easier for him.
Felicity replied absentmindedly, âSure.â
Vermont smirked. âIâll bring you pillows and a blanket later.â
Felicity poked the kittenâs head. âHave you named it?â
The kitten that Vermont adopted was a stray that had just turned one month old, and there was still a layer of blue membrane in its eyes. The kitten had snow-white fur all around with a hint of black around its mouth.
Its chubby belly made it look very lively and active.
Vermont glanced at the kitten upon hearing Felicityâs question. â Blockhead.â
Felicity was speechless.
âWhat about Ruler?â He pinched the kittenâs ear as he spoke, and the little thing immediately used its paw to push his hand away.
