Chapter 1294
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
âThatâs impossible! I definitely said -100000. Donât think you can pull one over on me just because I have a bad memory!â
Keegan was getting mad. âSince you know your memory isnât that great, how can you be so sure youâre not remembering things wrong?â
âBecause I have proof.â Stella immediately began to present her case.
Keegan did not buy it for a second. He remembered clearly that Stella had said to start with -10000 when they were in the car. âThereâs no way Iâm mistaken.â
He waited for Stella to produce her evidence and was ready to see her embarrassed. However, instead of showing him an audio or video recording, she pulled out an entry in the notes app on her own phone.
âSee for yourself.â Stella pointed at the text and said, âI was giving you a discount when I said to start with a negative of a hundred thousand.â
Keegan frowned and took the phone. As he read the list on the screen, his face turned pale.
[Keegan:
Good-looking +10 Short tempered -1 Pleasant voice +100 Forgot to call when he was out late -10 Gave me a birthday present +10000 Said Iâm not his first love -100 Called out another womanâs name when he had a fever â 10000 Threw out the food I cooked -10000 No longer likes me -100000â¦]
The list went on and on.
Keegan had experienced a fair share of ups and downs before, but Stellaâs list was one of his lowest.
He never imagined that he would be scored like this. âThis is absolutely ridiculous!â he thought.
With a dark expression, Keegan gritted his teeth and said,â Called out another womanâs name when I had a fever?
Werenât you the one who misheard that?â
Stella hesitated and cleared her throat, âWell, letâs not count that one.â
Keegan pressed on. âThrew out the food you cooked? The food was spoiled!â
Stella fell silent. ââ¦Alright, letâs not count that either.â
Keegan kept looking for loopholes. âYou are my first love.â
Stella quietly crossed out that item as well.
âSince when did I stop liking you?â Keegan pointed at the one with the most deducted points.
Stella quickly responded, âWeâve only been married for a short while. How well do you even know me?
What do you even like about me?â
Keegan felt like he was going to explode. âDo you mean to say you chose our wedding day as the day I donât like you?â
âThat date was just randomly chosen. It doesnât have anything to do with the points.â Stella started to evade the questions.
Keegan stayed silent.
Stella glanced at him and asked, âWhy arenât you saying anything?â
Keeganâs face was expressionless. âIs there anything left for me to say?â
Stella stifled a laugh and continued, âAlright, alright. Iâll end your probation, okay? Youâre such a petty person.â
âClearly, youâre the one who remembers things wrongly, yet Iâm the one being accused of being petty,â
thought Keegan.â But since Iâve been promotedâ¦â
âAbout the remarriageâ¦â
âMy brother has my household register. If you want to remarry me, youâll have to figure out a way to retrieve the register from him,â said Stella.
Hearing that, Keegan was at a loss for words.
