Chapter 1302
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
The scene marked the final climax of the entire drama.
Stellaâs portrayal of a fallen concubine from the cold palace was incredibly authentic. Her character introduced a perfect blend of tragedy, resentment, and sympathy. People usually hated the antagonist, but Stellaâs exceptional acting brought the role to life. Despite the queenâs evil acts in the show, it was difficult for viewers to harbor genuine dislike for her due to Stellaâs captivating performance.
The convergence of the showâs finale and the case regarding Sunlight Kindergartenâs food safety led to the trending hashtag, [#VersatileTalent] being associated with Stella.
While scrolling through her phone, Stella stumbled upon this trending term and nearly dropped her glass of water. She found that the label was somewhat intimidating despite seemingly being created with well-intention. She did not want people to hold her up high, as she feared that she might not be able to live up to their expectations.
âStella, your fans have chosen a name for themselves,â said Felicity, as she held out her phone.
âTheyâre calling themselves Stardusts.â
âWhat? Who came up with that?â asked Stella, who was practically frantic.
Felicity laughed and said, âI think itâs fitting since stars may seem small from afar, but theyâre big and bright up close.
With so many Stardusts supporting you, youâre bound to shake up the entertainment industry and revolutionize it.â
âPeople are going to stone me to death,â said Stella, slightly exasperated.
âI would like to see them try. They are in no place to talk unless they possess your acting skills. Still water runs deep. Those who run their mouth are often the losers,â Felicity responded confidently.
âWow. Why donât you send them this message?â Stella teased.
Felicity paused for a moment before she said with a serious look on her face, âAs a famous person once said, âNever argue with stupid people. They will drag you to their level and beat you with experience.â I wonât bring my IQ down for haters. Itâll affect my creative work.â
Stella clicked her tongue playfully and asked, âAre you planning on attending Jayleneâs birthday party later?â
âOf course. Why wouldnât I go to a free spa day?â Felicity replied with a grin. âPlus, Jaylene is spending the Saunsâ money, and youâre part of the Saun family. So, in a way, youâre treating me. Thereâs no reason for me not to go.â
Stella laughed and said, âItâs fine to say that to me. But be careful not to spread such things to people outside our circle. You never know who might hear it and twist your words.â
âI know,â Felicity agreed. Then, she continued, âEventhough you were practically kidnapped, and your dad remarried years later, itâs hard for me to get along with Jaylene, knowing that she received so much love and affection while you suffered under the hands of Albert.â
âIâve only met her a few times, but the incident at Keeganâs grandmotherâs birthday banquet left me feeling uneasy. The way she insisted on writing the calligraphy with you just makes my blood boil.
Thankfully, you drew a portrait instead. Otherwise, she might have outshone you and stolen the spotlight.â
Felicity sighed and continued, âI was thrilled to know that you were able to find your birth family. But now, Iâm worried.
I have no idea what Mrs. Saun is like. I hope sheâs not like Homewrecker Hylda. I donât want you to escape one perilous situation only to potentially land in another. You might as well marry Keegan if thatâs the case. No one would dare to mistreat you in the Kane family with Keegan and Mrs. Kane Sr. around.â
Stella laughed at her best friendâs words and casually put her arm around Felicityâs shoulder. âDo you really think Iâm that easy to bully? Even Keegan canât win against me, and no one is as vicious as him.â
Felicity looked at her and said, âThatâs because he lets you take the upper hand. Things will be different with others. You literally take in everything and everyone that comes your way, be it challenges or affection. This makes you terrible at identifying people with malicious intent.â
