Chapter 1390
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
âIâm going to focus on my acting career. I want to win some major awards and become the highest-
earning actress so that you wonât have to lift a finger once we get remarried. You can relax at home, and Iâll take care of everything,â said Stella.
Keegan was stunned to hear that. His lips twitched, as he said, âIs that what you wanted to tell me?
That I should be a stay-at-home husband? Only you could say something so audacious!â
Stella playfully pinched his cheek and said, âWell, I canât let you strut around and have people drool all over you. Itâs better if you stay at home.â
âI doubt you can support me with the amount of money you make,â Keegan snorted.
Stella blinked and said, âWhat? But you hardly spent a dime when we were still married. Look at the clothes Iâve bought you. My handbag alone probably costs more than your entire wardrobe.â
Her words left Keegan at a loss for words. âAnd, you have the audacity to say that out loud?â
Stella could not help but laugh. âIf you know that the clothes I bought for you are all budget-friendly, why didnât you mention it before?â
Keegan pursed his lips and said, âBecause I know you, duh.
Youâd never buy me clothes anymore if I said something negative about them. I experienced it when you stopped packing lunch for me. So, I knew not to be picky.â
Stella laughed even harder at the sound of that. She did not know that was why Keegan never complained about the clothes.
However, that was not entirely true. The clothes Stella bought might not be suitable for important occasions, but they were perfectly fine for everyday wear. They were high- quality and comfortable.
Stella had observed which brands Keegan wore most often and used that information to determine his preferred styles and fabrics.
Although Keegan did not say it out loud, he appreciated her attentiveness. He liked that she put so much thought into him and paid attention to small details that others might overlook.
âLetâs go,â Keegan said, taking her hand. âItâs time for your check-up.â
After the examination, Stella and Keegan sat in front of their doctor, Luke Quinn, once again.
Luke Quinn was a renowned gynecologist, who Keegan had consulted for Stella. With his glasses perched on his nose, he carefully examined the data. After a while, he looked up at Stella and smiled.
âYou look much better this time compared to your last visitâ
Stella smiled back and said, âIâve adjusted my daily routine and eating habits as per your advice.â
Luke nodded. âYour results are much better this time too. Many your hormone levels. Howâs your menstrual cycle?â
Before Stella could respond, Keegan pulled out his phone and showed it to Luke. âHere are her menstrual cycle dates for the past three months, Dr. Quinn.â
Stella was speechless. âSince when did he take note of my period?!â She felt a little embarrassed, and her ears could not help butturn red.
Luke, however, remained professional. He took Keeganâs phone, looked at the information, and nodded. âYour period was delayed by ten days last month, but everything else seems fine. Are you on any contraceptives?â
âNo. My partner had a vasectomy. We want to wait until our bodies fully recover before considering having children,â said Stella.
The doctor was surprised to hear that. He glanced at Keegan, who looked indifferent.
Keegan did not think he had done anything particularly remarkable. He was simply concerned about his partnerâs health. âHas her health improved?â he asked the doctor.
Luke shifted his gaze and said, âActually, there is really no need for vasectomy if you plan on having children in a year or two. Stellaâs chances of conceiving are already lower than that of the average woman. It might take a while before she gets pregnant.â
Keegan furrowed his brows. âBut our previous doctor told me that she would be at high risk of miscarriage even if she did conceive a child.â
