Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted Chapter 1543 [Eleven Jewell]
Barbara panicked, and she quickly looked to Chad for help.
Chad wore a stern expression and remained unyielding. He scoffed at Kennethâs assertion. âYou werenât directly involved in the production, Mr. Green. How could you be so certain that this design canât be produced?â
Kennethâs face turned pale. âIâve been crafting jade for over forty years. I can discern at a glance which designs are feasible and which are not. You can bring someone here to create that piece if you doubt my judgment.
If Iâm wrong, Iâll personally tarnish Emerald Skies Jewelerâs reputation!â
For a craftsman to stake his own reputation, he must be confident.
Tension permeated the room. The audience below murmured, exchanging their thoughts.
âIâm not following here. Whatâs the issue with not being able to produce it?â
âIf it canât be produced, it means this design is merely a conceptual sketch. To put it bluntly, itâs a draft.
Itâs like scoring a hundred on an exam while someone next to you scores zero, and they accuse you of cheating because your answer matches their draft exactly. Then, they say they just didnât write it on their paper.â
âIsnât that absurd? Who knows if whatâs on their draft is the correct answer? And, who would copy from your draft?â
âI donât think thatâs an appropriate example. A conceptual sketch is still a design. If she takes someone elseâs conceptual sketch and makes some alterations, doesnât that count as plagiarism?â
âWeâre not sure whoâs the real culprit here. Moreover, if Barbara is so confident in her own design, why hasnât she made a sample to test its effectiveness? Isnât it strange?â
Seeing his plan foiled, Chad stubbornly clung to the accusation of plagiarism. âThe company has a lot of orders recently.
We havenât had the time to make samples yet.
Does being a bit slow mean someone can claim the design as theirs? Doesnât the timestamp of the digital file prove who came first?â
Maggie looked at him coldly. âDigital file timestamps can be manipulated. You know this better than anyone. Didnât you use the same method to stain my name back then? Where did all those comparison images online come from?â
Chad gritted his teeth. âStop making things up!â
Maggie ignored him and walked straight to the computer that controlled the projector. She opened the digital file of Barbaraâs design using specialized graphic design software. With deliberate steps, she started removing layers, until Barbaraâs face turned pale.
Stella was equally astonished, as she watched the screen. Maggie had not told her about this hidden detail in the design.
The crowd roared in shock.
âl-ls that..?â
âItâs a logo, right? Itâs The Velvetâs logo.â
âDoesnât Barbara work for Grandeur Gallery? Why did she use The Velvetâs logo in her design for her new company?â
âHavenât you guys figured it out? Barbara stole Maggieâs work. This fool didnât realize that there was a hidden logo in Maggieâs design. She copied it without noticing!â
âHow could she have the nerve to accuse others like this? Sheâs shameless!â
âSheâs clearly in it for the money. If she had successfully tricked us today, The Velvetâs product launch would have turned into Grandeur Galleryâs million-dollar marketing event instead!â
âI canât believe sheâs using someone elseâs platform to bolster her own image. What a daring and vicious move!â
âWhat is wrong with her? She has quite a reputation in the industry. Why resort to such underhanded tactics?â
