Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted Chapter 1652 [Eleven Jewell]
Stella hesitated momentarily, then asked in a low voice,â Where are you?â
Aldor quickly arranged a meeting spot.
After freshening up a bit, Stella headed out. Concerned for her well-being, Wenham insisted that their driver accompany her.
The place Aldor had chosen for their meeting was a cafe. It was 3:00 p.m. on a weekday, so the place was not crowded.
Stella provided a room number to the owner, and they escorted her to the entrance of a private room where Aldor was waiting.
Upon pushing the door open, she found Aldor sitting inside, accompanied by Ted.
Stella was momentarily stunned and closed the door behind her.
âMrs. Kane.â Aldor sounded like he had a cold, his voice somewhat hoarse. He also looked a little tired.
However, upon seeing Stella, he maintained his usual courtesy and warmth. He rose from his seat and pulled out the chair opposite him, âPlease, have a seat.â
Stella set her bag down and sat across from him.
Stellaâs condition was better than Aldor had imagined. If she had been in a worse state, today would not have been a good time to meet.
Stella did not initiate the conversation. She saw that Aldor was not alone. He had brought Ted, Keeganâs old classmate and a lawyer, âSo handing me the phone was just an excuse. It seems like Aldor has something else to discuss with me.â As expected, Aldor spoke up, âMrs. Kane, youâre already familiar with Mr.
Eldrich, so thereâs no need for formal introductions. Iâll leave it to him to provide the details.â
Stella looked at Ted, who had a cold and distant expression. He opened the file in front of him and then passed it over to Stella, stating, âBefore the tragedy, Keegan had requested me to draft this document.
Please take a look.â
Stella took a breath, âIs it a will?â
âNo. He didnât ask me to draft a will,â Ted said lightly. âItâs an authorization agreement.â
Stella did not quite understand what that meant.
âI can give you a summary if you donât want to read it. A month ago, Keegan designated me as a third party to draft this authorization agreement. It essentially states that in the event that heâs unable to oversee significant decisions for the company due to unforeseen circumstances, you will step in on his behalf until his return or⦠until he is officially declared deceased. His assets will be distributed according to his will.â Ted explained.
This sudden news left Stella feeling a bit disoriented, âWhy would Keegan create such an agreement?
Did he have a feeling that something would happen?â âDid he say anything else?â Stella asked with a hint of urgency.
Ted shook his head, âNo. But when we signed the agreement, the proceedings were recorded on video.
Would you like to see it?â
Stella nodded, her eyes slightly red.
Ted took out his phone and played the video of the signing.
He had not lied to her; the video was an unedited recording of the signing, kept as evidence in case of any future complications. Keegan did not even spare a glance at the camera. He had spoken candidly, with Aldor by his side the whole time, bearing witness to the entire process while Ted drafted the document.
After the document was printed and signed, Keegan said, â Donât force her if she doesnât want to take charge of the company. Hopefully, itâs just me being overly anxious.â
Stella closed her eyes, replaying the entire incident in her mind.
âEveryone keeps saying that it was all an accident. But if the attacker truly mistook Keegan for Marshall, how did Keegan have a premonition about it?â She thought, a chill running down her spine.
Stella pressed her lips together, unable to speak for a long time.
âMrs. Kane,â Aldor whispered, âIf you donât want to be involved, you can choose not to sign the document.â
Stella asked, âWhat will happen if I refuse?â
Aldor remained silent before saying, âThereâll be another meeting at the company in three days. If Mr.
Kane isnât there, theyâll appoint someone to take over our team, and everyoneâs efforts will be in vain.
Even if he were to return, heâd need time to heal from his injuries. He wonât have the capacity to compete with his uncle in the immediate future.â
