Chapter 290
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
âIs the food not good?â Keegan noticed Stellaâs unusualness.
âNo, itâs quite tasty.â It was rare for Keegan to be nice for a change, and Stella was aware of that.
However, she was too full to eat anything, so she murmured quietly, âIâm just not that hungry.â
Apparently, Keegan did not believe her. âMaybe youâre too starved, and youâre worried that youâll wolf down your food and embarrass yourself in front of me with your terrible table manners?
Seeing that Stella was silent, Keegan replied with a straight face. âIâve seen the way you insisted that I take your pants off for you to go to the toilet when you were drunk. Would I care if you have embarrassing table manners?â
The corner of Stellaâs mouth twitched at his statement.
âCan you not talk about something so disgusting while weâre eating?â
Keegan stopped his actions and replied, âIsnât this Mama Flyâs line?â
âIâm already too full to eat, yet this bastard is making things worse by reminding me of the joke I told him before. Iâve lost my appetite.â
Stella reluctantly ate half a bowl of porridge and asked, âWhereâs my great-grandpa?â
âHe went gambling.â
âWhat?â Stella had almost jumped out of her seat. âWhy didnât you stop him?â
Keegan replied calmly, âHe seemed like he was having fun.â
âBut, you canât just leave him like that. What if he loses?â
The people on the cruise were all wealthy. Even though the casino there operated for entertainment purposes and the leverage used for gambling worth relatively little to them, it was still considered a huge wager for regular people. They used real money for gambling.
âGreat-grandpa has spent all his life living in his hometown. The biggest gambling scene that he played was probably poker games with the old folks in the countryside with tens of dollars as leverage.
âHe must have never seen big gambling places like this. He would be distressed if he loses.â
Keegan, on the other hand, was not worried at all. âLuck seemed to be on his side. Plus, if he really loses a gameâ¦â Keegan paused to look at Stella. âJust deduct it from your one billion. dollars.â
âLosing money is a small matter. Iâm just worried that great-grandpa would be upset or angry if he lost money.â
Thinking of that, Stella told Keegan that she was full and wanted to watch out for Arthur. Keegan grimaced at the sight of the barely-touched food and said, âIâll bring you there.â
The fifth floor of the cruise was the entertainment area, which was completed with chess rooms and all sorts of board games.
When Keegan brought Stella there, Arthur was enthusiastically gambling with a group of people.
They were playing Craps, a dice game that involved betting on the outcome of the dice roll. Everyone had a certain amount of chips piled up, but only Arthur had nothing in front of him.
The dealer was rolling the dice, and Arthurâs expression was bitter as he locked his eyes on the swift hands of the dealer. It was as if he wanted to pry them open.
âOh no, it looks like he lost a lot of money,â Stella thought to herself.
As the dealer stopped rolling the die, the gamblers placed their bets one by one. Stella quickly went forward and called, âGreat-grandpa!â
Arthur turned around, and upon seeing his great-granddaughter, he immediately smiled.â Stella, youâre awake!â
Stella then tried to pull him away. âHow about I visit the deck with you?â
âWait, Iâm playing one more round.â
âHe must be trying to get back the money he lost,â thought Stella.
Stella was worried that all the gambling might get to his head. So, she responded, âI thought you wanted to swim. Thereâs a pool on deck, and Aldor prepared a pair of swimming trunks for you.â
Arthur was immediately intrigued. âThen, letâs go!â
After taking a few steps, however, he stopped in his tracks. âI have to cash these in first.â âWhat?â
Arthur took a fistful of chips out from his pocket and placed them on the table.
