Chapter 308
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
Stella instantly kept quiet. The boat was still swaying. Keeganâs warm body temperature behind her back made her feel safe. She unconsciously closed her eyes and fell asleep.
The thunderstorm lasted until midnight, and Stella woke up lying on the bed. She moved and found Keeganâs hand on her waist while both of them were still tied to the bed sheet. Keegan must have tied them up during their sleep to avoid being thrown out or knocked into things. She untied the bed sheet, washed herself, and went out without waking Keegan.
The deck was a mess. Fishes, shrimps, and crabs were washed up on board by the wind, and the crew was busy cleaning up. Stella knocked on Arthurâs room, but only Aldor was in the room packing the luggage.
âWhere is my great-grandpa?â Stella asked.
Aldor replied, âHe went on deck to get some seafood. He said he was going to make some seafood soup.â
Stella was speechless. âIsnât Arthur nearly ninety? His energy is even better than mine. And, Iâm still young.â
She searched the deck and finally saw Arthur in a corner. Marshall was standing beside him. Both of them had their heads low, talking about something. Stella went over and saw a turtle the size of a washbasin between them.
Arthur stroked his chin and said, âAccording to my experience, this must be a female turtle.â Marshall searched his phone. âThe shell is on the long side, with a V-shape notch on its back. Scientifically, this should be a male.â
âNo way. How could a male be so small?â
Marshall replied, âThereâs a chance that it hasnât fully grown yet.â
âItâs so big, yet itâs not fully grown?â
âGreen sea turtles come of age in twenty years. They grow up to 2-4 feet when theyâre adults. This one seems to be approximately over one foot, so it must be a kid.â
âSo, a baby sea turtle,â Arthur stroked his beard. âIt should be healthy.â
Stella could not stand the conversation. âGreat-grandpa, why did you come here?â
Arthurâs face instantly lit up when he saw Stella. âStella, come here. Thereâs a huge turtle over here.
Letâs take it back and make soup.â
Stella winced. âGreat-grandpa, you canât eat it. Youâre going to jail if you do that.â
Arthur frowned. âEven though I just picked it up?â
âNot even the corpse.â Stella then called the crew and asked them to return the turtle back to the sea.
Otherwise, Arthur would not be willing to give it up.
âStella, is he your great-grandfather?â Marshall spoke after watching from the side for a while.
Stella introduced both of them to each other. Marshall was very friendly. Not long ago, he had been chatting with Arthur about the gender of the sea turtle for a long time. One can say that they got along quite well. After chatting for a while, Arthur exclaimed, âWhereâs Keegan?â
âHeâs not up yet.â
âItâs already so late, yet heâs not up?â
âHe fell asleep late last night.â Stella could not tell them what they had encountered last night since it was too embarrassing.
âGo back and wash up. Wake him up so we can have breakfast together.â
Stella parted with Marshall and assisted Arthur back.
âMarshall is so much more polite than Keegan,â Arthur suddenly said.
However, Stella did not reply to him.
