Chapter 807
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
However, Leighton did not expect Trevor to return from Royalburgh so soon this time.
Trevor stuck out his leg and pulled the chair next to him over. Then, he sat down and asked, âYouâre acting in Stuart Winfieldâs movie?â
Leighton rolled his eyes at him, âWhy are you asking when you already know?â
Trevor got straight to the point.
âQuit the production. Iâll find you another one.â
Leighton immediately rejected him, âNo!â
Trevor studied him, âDonât you know how scary your fans are? They roasted my artist until she became a trending topic when the filming hadnât even started. We aim to win an award with this film, so donât create any trouble for me.â
âWhoâs creating trouble?â Leighton was displeased. He continued,â Someoneâs intentionally sowing discord. Iâve already made a clarification post on Facebook.â
âYou call that clarification?â Trevor had a slight headache. âDo you think others canât tell who youâre talking about with that sarcasm of yours?â
âThe target in Leightonâs clarification post on Facebook is way too obvious. Heâs talking about Bella.
But, most importantly, this bastard even tagged Stella. Howâs Stella supposed to respond? If she doesnât respond, sheâs looking down on Leighton.
But if she responds, sheâs looking down on Bella. Well, itâs nothing much if she looks down on Bella.
The main issue is Bellaâs fans are too annoying,â Trevor thought.
At this thought, Trevor could not help but curse Keegan out.
âThat bastard, Keegan. He single-handedly nurtured that plague who gives us trouble from time to time!â he thought again.
Meanwhile, Leighton had a look of indifference.
âSo be it if they can tell who Iâm talking about. After all, Iâm merely stating the truth. She had to use eyedrops to act out a crying scene. How could you be blind enough to sign her?â
Trevor twitched the corner of his eye, âI didnât want to sign her. Jaylene signed her.â
âOhhh,â Leighton dragged out his sentence. He continued, âThat step-sister of yours? Canât you terminate the contract after she signed her?â
Before Trevor could answer, Leighton continued, âLet me guess, you relented because she pretended to be sick?â
Trevor was speechless.
âWhat do you mean pretend? Choose your words properly!â he said. Leighton snorted.
âSheâs always sick at the right time. So many people worldwide have asthma, but none of them are like her. Even Colin Craven in The Secret Garden isnât as frail as her.â
The Hall family disliked Darcie and her daughter because of Wenhamâs second marriage. Leighton grew up hearing such things, so he hated them passionately despite having only met them a few times.
Trevor patted Leightonâs head, âYour mom and dad are so good-natured; howâd they give birth to a foul-
mouthed brat like you?â
âI probably take after you. Whoâd grow up well when they got beaten up that way as a child?â
Leighton moved his head away and did not let Trevor touch him.
Trevor was at a loss for words.
âHeâs so right that I actually canât refute him,â he thought.
Leighton held a towel and wiped away his sweat.
âWhy did you hurriedly come to Royalburgh to look for grandma and grandpa?â
Trevor snapped out of his thought, âChildren shouldnât ask about grownup businesses.â
Leighton clicked his tongue.
âThen grownups should also stop minding the childrenâs business,â he said. Then, he stood up.
âIâm going to take a shower.â
âWait,â Trevor stopped him. He continued, âSince youâre in the cast, do something for me.â
Leighton immediately said sarcastically, âDo grownups need the help of children?â
Trevor side-eyed him, âAre you asking to be hit?â
Leighton pouted, âGo on.â
Trevor cut to the chase and said, âHelp me protect Stella.â
Leighton was bewildered.
