Chapter 898
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
âYou want me to become an artist in your company?â Felicity put her hand on her chin and asked. She held her phone to her face and stared at her reflection before saying in a low voice, âThat doesnât sound too bad. Based on my looks, I can play the role of a concubine or maybe a young, innocent intern who has something going on with the CEO, donât you think? Plus, they donât really focus on looks anymore, right? There have been several average-looking female stars who have become quite popular in the past two years. Maybe Iâll be in the next generation of celebrities, huh?â
Vermont was speechless. âDo you wanna go to the bathroom for a sec?â
Felicity looked at him suspiciously and asked, âWhy would I need to go to the bathroom?â
âTo freaking look at yourself in the mirror,* Vermont replied with a serious look on his face.
The corner of Felicityâs mouth twitched, and she kicked him off the couch.â You go look in the mirror!â she yelled.
Vermont slumped onto the carpet and sat there with one of his legs bent as he laughed. He then propped his elbow on the couch, turned to Felicity, and said, âCome to my company and be my personal secretary. All you have to do is cook for me, and Iâll give you fifty thousand dollars a month. Youâll also get your weekends off, holidays, and insurance. What do you think?â
âNo.â Felicity refused the offer without any hesitation. âIf youâre looking for a nanny, go to a housekeeping company.â
Vermont could not believe his ears. âWould you be able to earn this much money with your screenwriting assistant job?â
âNo.â
Vermont was puzzled. âThen, why not become my secretary?â
âMy life goal is not just limited to cooking. I wouldâve opened a restaurant if I wanted to become a chef. I have a dream, you know?â Felicity said while scrolling through her phone.
âThen, tell me, whatâs your dream?â
Felicityâs eyes lit up at the mention of that. âI want to write the best script in the world, win the craziest award of all time, and have sex with the hottest man alive.â
Vermont was at a loss for words. âYou can cross the last one out. Youâve already done it.â
