Chapter 126
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 126:
With that, he ended the call.
He then directed Phillips, âGive the driver the night off. Iâm driving myself.â
âVery well, Mr. Flynn.â
Phillips suspected Eric was intent on confronting Hadley himself.
As predicted, Eric snatched his car keys, descended via the elevator to the underground garage, entered his car, and headed directly to West Twelfth Alley.
Much like before, his car halted at the alleyâs entrance, forcing Eric to proceed on foot.
Guided by the address from Phillips, he eventually stood before Hadleyâs building.
âIs this the place?â
Disbelief washed over him as he surveyed the dilapidated apartment building, its dark hallways reeking of decay.
Could anyone actually live here?
At the doorstep, Eric paused, his irritation mounting, and decided to knock.
Despite his persistent knocking, there was no response.
Left with no alternative, Eric attempted to call her. Again, there was no answer.
Ericâs frustration boiled over. âHadley, you owe me a thorough explanation!â
At Galant, Marshall and Barrie faced each other, Denver sitting alongside.
âEric really ditched us today?â
âHeâs probably wary of our teasing,â Barrie speculated.
Denver, puzzled, inquired, âWhy would Eric fear our jests?â
âReally, you havenât noticed?â Marshall replied, eyeing his cousin. âLately, Ericâs been quite taken with a certain lady.â
âOh?â Interest sparked in Denver. âWho might that be?â
âThere, take a look.â Barrie gestured towards the stage. âItâs Miss S right over there.â

Denverâs face hardened momentarily.
Luckily, they didnât notice his brief scowl due to the dim lighting. Denver then cracked a smile. âEricâs had someone special already, hasnât he?â
âWhatâs the point?â Marshall scoffed. âGiven their status, itâs a long shot.â
Barrie exhaled deeply. Ultimately, they felt a sense of contentment for Eric. At long last, he had found someone captivating, moving past his previous fixation on Linda.
Barrie exchanged looks with Marshall. âSince heâs not here, we ought to watch out for his girl on his behalf, right?â
âAbsolutely,â Marshall agreed, readying his phone. âLetâs send something her way. Make sure they know itâs coming from Mr. Flynn.â
Behind the scenes.
âHadley!â
Grinning widely, Lennon made his way over to Hadley once more. He was disappointed by Ericâs absence tonight. Yet, despite Ericâs absence, an unexpected late-night treat arrived.
âWhatâs going on, Mr. Lewis?â Hadley inquired, rising to greet him with a grin.
âJust a secondâ¦â
