Adonis and Elvin exchanged a knowing glance before Adonis leaned in slightly, amusement flickering in his eyes.

“You think we’d gossip, Hadley?” he said smoothly. “Relax, we wouldn’t dare whisper a word behind Mr. Flynn’s back.”

Hadley parted her lips to protest, but before she could get a word out, Elvin cut in.

“There’s no need to keep it from us, Hadley,” he said with a smirk. “Let me give you some inside news—Wayne Walters? He’s been blacklisted in the industry.”

“What?” The word shot out of Hadley’s mouth before she could stop it.

Her stomach lurched at the sudden revelation.

Her mind raced, but one thought stood out. Was Eric behind this?

Elvin’s smirk deepened. “Who else but Mr. Flynn?” he said, as if the answer was obvious.

“After all, he was there last night, and to be fair, he is the only one with that kind of power.”

Hadley stiffened. Something about this felt off. Elvin picked up on her hesitation and tilted his head.

“Wait—he didn’t tell you?”

“No.” Hadley shook her head, still reeling.

Elvin let out a chuckle, as if the situation had just turned amusing.
