Chapter 361
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 361:
âMs. Nicolson,â Eric greeted her with a polite, almost disarming smile. âI apologize for showing up unannounced and disrupting your day.â
Blanche furrowed her brow. âMr. Flynn, whatâs the reason for this visit? Please, get to the point.â
âOf course.â Eric wasted no time with pleasantries, diving straight into the matter. âIâve come to offer an apology on Hadleyâs behalf. Sheâs youngâstill learningâand, unfortunately, made an error by breaking the troupeâs rules. Iâm asking, if possible, for your forgiveness and for another chance to be given.â
And there it was.
Blancheâs heart skipped a beat. So, this was the true reason behind Ericâs sudden involvementâhe wasnât just helping her husband out of the goodness of his heart after all. Should she agree, or should she refuse?
Her husband had already accepted the offer.
If she turned Eric down now, could she convince her husband to reject the Flynn familyâs help?
Realistically, she knew he wouldnât. Worse, that might even create a rift between them.
It was clearâmoney had a way of smoothing over everything.
Even someone as proud as Blanche had no choice but to bend. With a long, resigned sigh, she met Ericâs gaze.
âWith you putting it that way, how could I possibly refuse?â
âOh, please.â
Ericâs smile remained unchangedâpolite, but distant.

âI need you to truly accept Hadley. Sheâll be under your guidance, and I need your word that youâll take care of her.â
If Blanche merely pretended to comply while secretly making things difficult for Hadley, it would only end up harming her.
Blanche took a deep breath, weighing her decision carefully. âRest assured, Mr. Flynn. If I agree to take Hadley back, my personal feelings wonât interfere with her progress.â
She wasnât the type to let emotions cloud her judgment.
âDo you trust me?â
âI do.â Eric nodded without hesitation.
Whether he truly believed her or not didnât matterâhe had to maintain the proper stance, especially for Hadleyâs sake.
âHow could I not trust you?â he said smoothly. âIf I didnât, I wouldnât have placed Hadley in your hands.â
After a brief, thoughtful pause, he added, âBut I need to ask you one more thing.â
âWhat is it?â Blanche responded, her curiosity piqued.
âHadley isnât aware of any of this,â Eric said, his voice steady. âIâd prefer it stays that way. I donât want anything to interfere with her focus or her mood.â
There was no need for Hadley to get tangled in this mess.
All she needed was to focus on what she lovedâdancing.
Blanche was taken aback. This man had gone to such lengths for Hadley, yet he chose to keep everything in the shadows?
Was he not planning to claim any credit?
