Chapter 382
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 382:
Hadley paused, caught off guard. She was momentarily speechless.
âWhatâs going on?â
Back in the dining room, Nyla couldnât sit still any longer. She rose to her feet.
âIâm going to check on them.â
âGrandma, Iâll come with you.â
Eric quickly followed, but Nyla shot him a pointed look.
âWhatâs going on with them? Do you know something?â
âNo,â Eric replied firmly.
This was Hadleyâs business. Whether she wanted to share or not, it was up to her. He wouldnât interfere.
When Nyla reached the garden and found Hadley and Denver, she glanced back and forth between the two of them.
âAre you two arguing? Or is something else going on? Can you tell me?â
âNo, weâreâ¦â
Denver remembered that Nyla had once promised her help if they ever faced opposition.
But he had no intention of asking for it.
He knew his parents well. If Nyla intervened, it would likely make them resent Hadley even more.
He turned to Hadley, his expression regretful, as he replied to Nylaâs question,
Every tale finds a home at gⱯlnÏνð®âsâ¤com
âThis is my fault. I upset Hadley.â
âOh.â
Nyla sighed, her tension easing.
âWell, in that case, I wonât be able to help. You made this mess, so itâs up to you to clean it up.â She glanced at Eric.
âLetâs go.â
âYes, Grandma.â
As they turned to leave, Eric furrowed his brow and looked at Hadley. She was clearly struggling, yet still refused to ask Nyla for help. The same went for Denver.
Could they really handle this by themselves?
Since they wouldnât ask for assistance, there was only so much he could do.
After leaving the Flynn Mansion, Denver hurried home and went straight upstairs to find Wilma.
âMom!â
Wilma glanced at him, instantly understanding the situation. Her expression tightened.
âWhatâs with that look? Looks like you already know. Humph, that girl sure knows how to stir things up.â
âMom!â
Denver frowned and shook his head.
âIt wasnât Hadley.â
