Chapter 410
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 410:
Linda understood the importance of his pride and didnât want to press him excessively.
âMake me this promise.â She stepped away slightly and said,
âThat she will no longer be a part of your life.â
Ernestâs expression momentarily darkened, yet he soon gave a nod.
He actually agreed?
âErnest!â With a rush of emotion, Linda embraced him tightly.
âFor four years, Iâve waited. Do you have any idea what Iâve endured? I canât bear to lose youâ¦â
Ernest stayed quiet, his expression troubled.
After that conversation, the two had made up.
Letting go, Linda climbed out of bed.
âToday, I have just one meeting. Iâll return soon to assist with your physical therapy. Please wait for me.â
âOkay.â
Later that day, Linda came home earlier, as she had promised.
The mansion was unusually silent that afternoon, with the staff apparently taking their breaks, including Kira, the housekeeper.
Linda moved stealthily upstairs, cautious not to disturb the peace.
Though they had seemingly resolved the issue of Ernestâs alleged infidelity, doubt still lingered in Lindaâs heart.

She wanted to knowâhad Ernest truly put it behind him?
She approached his bedroom silently, not knocking, but instead gently opening the door to sneak in.
Surprisingly, she found Ernest asleep.
Was she more relieved or disappointed? Unsure, Linda walked softly to his side. Noticing his phone beside the pillow stirred a surge of anxiety within her. With her heart racing, she grabbed the phone and carefully pressed it against his face, trying to unlock it as he slept.
And it worked!
Lindaâs gaze fell upon the screen, which lit up with a photoâ
Upon recognizing the image, she stood rooted to the spot, struck by disbelief.
The revelation was shocking.
The person in the photo was familiar.
Hadley was right there, captured on camera as she walked out of the dance studio with her colleagues after the performance!
Surely, Quentin was the one who snapped this picture and forwarded it! Feeling a surge of blood to her head while her feet turned ice-cold, Linda touched her forehead, overwhelmed by a sudden dizziness.
She looked over at Ernest, who was sleeping soundly.
She recalled the photo he had hurriedly destroyed before. Was the young woman in it really Hadley?
How was this possible?
