Chapter 418
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 418:
âThat would be you!â
Alita was seething, ready to vent her frustration.
âDidnât you get that? Youâre desperate and pathetic.â
Elissaâs anger flared. She hadnât anticipated Alitaâs irrational behavior.
âYou owe me an apology! Apologize to me now!â
âHumph.â Alita smirked.
âYou think Iâm going to apologize? Not happening!â
âFine!â
Frustrated to the core, Elissa said,
âIâm taking this to Ms. Nicolson!â
âAlita!â Their colleagues intervened, holding Alita back.
âCome on, just say youâre sorry.â
âMs. Nicolson isnât fond of discord among the staff.â
Should this matter reach Blanche, sheâd likely reprimand everyone involved, regardless of who was at fault.
With a huff, Alita expressed her skepticism.
âMs. Nicolson? Since when does she abide by her own rules?â
âWatch what youâre saying, Alita!â a colleague warned.
Elissa chuckled.

âIf youâre so bold, letâs go together and you can repeat that to Ms. Nicolson.â
Seizing Alita by the arm, Elissa said,
âWeâre going now!â
Others joined in, saying,
âJust say youâre sorry, Alita!â
âRemember, Ms. Nicolsonâs already wary of you because of your last mishap.â
âThink about your future!â
Faced with collective pressure, Alita grimaced but capitulated.
âFine, sorry.â
Elissa was unsatisfied.
âThat wonât cut it. Apologize to Hadley too, and mean it this time.â
Biting back further protest, Alita fetched a glass of orange juice from the beverage station and set it down before Hadley, her gesture slightly warm.
âI crossed a line, and I apologize for that, Hadley.â
Hadley, never fond of Alita, still chose to keep the workplace peace. She took the orange juice, saying,
âItâs okay.â
Yet Alita watched her intently, insisting,
âPlease drink it. Your forgiveness only counts if you drink the orange juice.â
Blanche and an elegant lady engaged in lively conversation as they entered, making their way straight to a private dining room, intending to enjoy a quiet meal.
