Chapter 419
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 419:
Hadley, keen to avoid causing any disturbance, grabbed the orange juice without understanding the insistence behind it and drank it swiftly.
âIs that enough?â she questioned after finishing the drink.
âAbsolutely.â Alita smirked, one eyebrow arching in amusement. âYouâre really generous!â
As Alita turned aside, a cunning smile flickered across her face, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
Blanche happened to look their way just as the incident concluded.
The woman accompanying her was Stella, Barrieâs mother.
Stella gestured towards Hadley as she asked,
âIsnât she the one Mr. Flynn asked you to look after?â
âYes, thatâs her,â Blanche confirmed with a smile, her tone implying approval.
âShe possesses considerable talent. I have no doubt sheâll become a leading figure in this troupe.â
âReally?â Stella expressed her relief and contentment.
âThatâs excellent news. Now, letâs eat. Iâm quite hungry.â
âLetâs go.â
Late into the nightâ¦
âUgh⦠mmâ¦â
The unsettling sounds abruptly woke Elissa, sending a chill down her spine. She flicked on the light and saw Hadley in a fetal position on the bed, gripping her blanket tightly.

The source of the moaning was unmistakably Hadley.
âHadley!â
Elissa sprang from her bed and hastened to her friendâs side.
âWhatâs wrong? Are you okay?â
Sweating profusely, Hadley gripped her abdomen and then bolted for the bathroom.
She had been feeling sick for some time. Unbeknownst to Elissa, Hadley had already made numerous trips to the bathroom before.
Now, all that remained were the relentless cramps wracking her stomach.
âHadley, Iâm coming in.â
With concern mounting, Elissa opened the bathroom door and extended a towel to her.
âIs it stomach trouble?â
âYes.â Hadley managed a weak nod, her face flushed with embarrassment.
âPlease, give me some privacy.â
âWhatâs there to be embarrassed about?â Elissa could tell Hadley was genuinely sick.
âYou didnât choose to be sick. Tell me how youâre really feeling.â
Hadley tried to brush it off as nothing, but the pain was too sharp.
âItâs pretty bad⦠My stomach is killing me.â
Elissaâs concern deepened.
âYou shouldnât ignore this.â She got up decisively. âIâll check with the hotel for some medicine.â
