Chapter 521
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 521:
The buzz-cut man lay sprawled on the floor, a crumpled, bloodied heap. His breath rattled, his swollen face barely recognizable.
âSpeak! Where is my wife? What did you do to her? Where is she?â
âNo, pleaseâ¦â The manâs body trembled, his battered frame wracked with pain. âIâI donât know.â
âYou donât know?â
Ericâs rage flared hot again, his muscles coiling as he readied for another strikeâbut Lindaâs grip tightened.
âThen what do you know?â she demanded, her voice cutting through the room like steel. âTalk. Now.â
The man coughed, blood dribbling from the corner of his mouth. âIâll talk⦠Iâll talkâ¦â
The buzz-cut man wheezed, gasping through the pain, his body trembling from the brutal beating.
âDonât let her fool youâthat woman is a menace! Even after I had her cornered, she smashed through the car window with a kick! She grabbed a glass shardâstabbed me with it!â
To prove his words, he yanked up his sleeve, revealing a mess of jagged cuts and dried blood. âLook! She did this! All of it!â
Tears streaked his face, his bravado shattered.
âShut up!â Eric snapped. âStop your pathetic whiningâI asked you where she is!â
âIâI donât knowâ¦â Still nothing.
Ericâs grip tightened, his rage swelling like a storm. Exhaling sharply, his gaze dropped to Linda, still clinging desperately to his waist. âLinda.â He locked eyes with her, his tone dangerously steady. âMove. Iâm going to kill him!â

The bastard wouldnât talk until he was staring death in the face.
âNo!â Her pulse pounded, but she didnât waver. âI think⦠he really doesnât know!â
âI swear! I really donât know!â The man sobbed, his breath ragged. âShe stabbed me and then bolted out of the car! I tried, but I couldnât catch up!â
âEric!â
Lindaâs voice cut through the tension, her grip tightening around him as she looked up at his face. âI think heâs telling the truth. At this point, lying wouldnât help him.â
Eric understood, but his chest felt heavy. Where the hell could Hadley have gone?
If she had fought back with a glass shard, was she hurt, too?
His eyes snapped open. âWhere?â
The man blinked through his swollen face, confused. âW-What? What do you meanâwhere?â
âUnless you want to die, tell me where she ran off to?â
âEric!â Linda tightened her grip, pulling him back just as his body tensed.
âI know! I know!â
The man nearly choked on his words, his entire body trembling with fear.
âRayton Road!â he blurted out, his voice cracking. âShe got off there! Thatâs where we lost her!â
His eyes darted around wildly, panic flooding his expression. âI swear! I donât know anything else! She ran, and thatâs it! Thatâs all I know! I swear on my life!â
Rayton Road.
