Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 549:
âCalm down, Linda!â
The momentum sent Linda stumbling backward. The cup of steaming milk in her hand slipped, tilting violently.
âLinda!â Ernestâs breath caught. He had only meant to stop herâhe hadnât meant for this.
Panic shot through him as he wheeled forward, reaching out toward her. âAre you alright? Let me seeâdid your arm get burned?â
Linda sat there on the floor, her gaze unfocused, staring blankly at the spilled milk.

The second she saw Eric, her composure crumbled entirelyâtears streamed down her face.
âEricâ¦â
Linda took two firm steps forward and collapsed into his arms. Eric stiffened. His arms shot up instinctively, his entire body turning rigid with shock.
âLinda, youââ
His voice was strained, confused. His mind scrambled for the right words.
âWho is it?â A cool, composed voice cut through the moment. Hadley walked over, arms crossed, her long hair cascading over one shoulder, a slow, knowing smirk playing at her lips.
