Chapter 570
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 570:
Eric kept both hands on the wheel, a slight smile touching his lips. âIâm taking you somewhere. Youâre off work today, right?â
Hadley eyed him warily. âWhat do you mean, taking me somewhere? My day off has nothing to do with you. Donât forgetâwe broke up. Just last night!â
He gave no reply, as if he hadnât heard her. She felt her nerves spike.
âI asked you a question! Where are you taking me?â
She had no intentions of going on another date with him!
âRelax,â he said calmly, sparing her a quick glance. âYouâll know when we get there.â
Hadley then recognized the route almost immediatelyâit led straight to Irondeer Road, a hub of upscale boutiques.
She couldnât help but wonder why Eric was taking her there.
When they finally arrived, Eric brought her into FOUR Hours, a familiar spot known to be part of the Flynn familyâs fashion line. The moment they approached the entrance, the store manager and staff hurried out to greet them.
âMr. Flynn, welcome,â the manager said, then turned to Hadley with a warm smile. âHello, Miss Pearson.â
Hadley raised an eyebrow. They actually knew who she was?
âPlease, come inside,â the manager urged.
Eric gave a brief nod and led Hadley into the store.
The manager followed closely, addressing her in an apologetic tone.
Apparently, Phillips had called and mentioned that Hadley wasnât happy with the items sheâd received last timeâand that, in turn, had displeased Eric, which terrified the store manager.
gα â Î·Ï Î½ð® ðsâ¤com has it all
âMiss Pearson, weâre so sorry the clothes we sent previously didnât meet your expectations. Could you let me know what style you prefer? Iâll be more than happy to suggest some new pieces,â the manager explained.
What?
Hadley frowned slightly, glancing at Eric in confusion. Just what was going on here?
Eric gestured discreetly to the store manager and the sales assistants, indicating they should give them some space.
âOf course, Mr. Flynn,â replied the manager before he swiftly guided the staff away.
âLook here, Hadley.â Eric encouraged as he gently took her hand, guiding her to the gleaming display case. âWhat catches your eye?â
âOh?â Hadley quirked an eyebrow, her voice tinged with amusement. âAre you in the mood to shop for my wardrobe?â
âYes,â Eric confirmed with a nod. Wasnât that apparent?
âIâll pass,â Hadley responded with a playful smile, yet her words dripped with irony. âReally, Iâm all set with my current wardrobe.â She began to withdraw her hand, seeking to escape his grasp.
âWait, Hadley,â Eric said, holding her gaze firmly. âDidnât you mention that nothing at Silver Villas appeals to you anymore?â
Before she could respond, he earnestly continued, apologizing for earlier misunderstandings.
Eric acknowledged his oversight with a hint of regret. âI should have consulted you before making plans. Letâs go have a look now, shall we?â He motioned toward the array of clothing behind the glass. âWe have a few pieces here, but thereâs more to see. What catches your eye? They can bring out additional selections if youâd like. Does that sound good?â
