Chapter 582
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 582:
âWhat do you mean?â Hadley responded, momentarily baffled by the sudden question.
Ericâs tone sharpened with impatience. âIâm asking for your opinion.â
âSheâ¦â Hadley hesitated, choosing her words delicately. âSheâs very attractive and has a lovely figure.â
The awkwardness hung thick in the air, making it difficult for Hadley to even glance at the other woman.
âExactly.â Eric flashed an approving smile, examining the woman. âAllow me to introduce you. Sheâs my new girlfriend.â
âWhat?â
âMr. Flynn?â
Both women reacted simultaneously, stunned.
The womanâs face lit up with joy, her eyes shimmering with emotion as she reached tentatively toward Ericâs hand.
Yet Eric didnât even spare her a glance, his focus fixed entirely on Hadley.
He continued, smiling faintly, âYou see, you made a valid point. Iâm certainly not desperate. If I wanted a girlfriend, couldnât I easily find one? After all, Iâm single now.â
A stark contrast to the four years when their marriage still technically existed.
âOf course! You could have a girlfriend if you want,â Hadley acknowledged gently.
But what was his purpose in telling her this?
Was her indifferent response all he sought?
Ericâs expression suddenly darkened, the playful smile vanishing. Grasping the womanâs hand firmly, he commanded curtly, âLetâs go.â

âOhâyes, Mr. Flynn,â she quickly said.
What was going on?
Hadley stood frozen, disbelief flooding her senses. Were they actually going to leave just like that? She hadnât even mentioned Elissaâs situation yet.
Without thinking twice, Hadley quickly trailed after them.
âMr. Flynn! I have something important to tell youâabout Elissaâ¦â
Before she could finish, Eric stopped abruptly, glancing back at her.
âI have something urgent to handle.â
Hadleyâs heart sank.
Did he genuinely not have time for her? Or was he deliberately brushing her off, hoping sheâd give up on her own?
He definitely wouldnât let Elissa off easily.
âCome with me,â he said decisively. âWe can talk on the way.â
Hadleyâs eyes brightened instantly. âOh! Yes, of course!â
Once in the garage, Eric opened the rear door to his car. The woman automatically started to climb inside.
âWho told you to get in there?â Ericâs voice was cool, indifferent.
âMr. Flynn?â The woman hesitated, confusion clouding her features. Where was she supposed to sit then?
Eric frowned impatiently, nodding toward the front seat. âYouâre riding up front.â
âWhat?â The womanâs eyes widened in astonishment.
Hadley was equally taken aback. Eric was letting his girlfriend sit in the passenger seat while he wasnât even driving? What exactly was happening here?
