Chapter 701
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 701:
With every word, Lindaâs anger deepened.
âYouâre always worried sick about herâbut does she even spare a thought for you?â
âStop it, Linda!â Ernest interjected, unable to hold back any longer.
âThatâs enough.â
Turning her back to him, Linda retorted,
âWill silence alter the truth?â
As Ericâs mood seemed to darken, Ernest quickly intervened.
âIn fact, Hadley didnât waste a moment coming here when she heard about your accident. She was right outside the surgery room all that time and spent the night here by your side. Itâs likely she had to leave for work because she couldnât take leave.â
Ericâs face softened into a mild smile upon hearing this.
âYes, I understand. Hadleyâs always careful. She wouldnât skip work without a good reason.â
Feeling a wave of relief, Ernest replied,
âIâm glad to hear that.â
Blaming himself for the mishap, he worried about its potential impact on his brotherâs relationship.
âI didnât consider everything fully. You rest, and Iâll make sure someone gets Hadley the time off she needs to be here with you,â Ernest added.
âFantastic.â Eric beamed, showing his gratitude.

âThanks a lot, Ernest.â
âThereâs no need for thanks among brothers.â
Meanwhile, Linda looked on disinterestedly, turning away from the brothers and rolling her eyes.
Phillips went to the dance studio later.
He completed the necessary paperwork for Hadleyâs leave and found her practicing.
With a grave expression, Phillips informed her,
âHadley, Mr. Flynn is awake. Your leave is arranged, and Iâve come to take you to the hospital.â
Surprised by the urgency, Hadley thought,
âWhy rush me to the hospital? Arenât there nurses to look after things? Do I really have skills superior to those of a nurse?â
Phillips, giving no room for refusal, said firmly,
âMr. Flynn is asking for you. Itâs my duty to bring you to him. Please come with me.â
He swiftly took hold of Hadleyâs wrist, guided her to the car, and drove straight to the hospital.
Upon reaching the hospital room, Phillips knocked on the door.
âMr. Flynn, Iâve brought Hadley.â
With a resigned sigh, Hadley nudged the door open.
Inside, Eric wasnât by himself.
Dressed again in her own attire, Linda had completed her medical examination, received a clean bill of health, and was preparing to leave.
