Chapter 757
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 757:
âWhy are you squirming?â Even though Eric had a small grimace on his face, his speech was soft. âYour feet feel almost frozen. Iâll warm them up.â
Hadley was curious as to howâwas he really just going to hold them?
But then she watched as Eric reached for his waist⦠What was he up to? She gasped in disbelief as he lifted his shirt and placed her feet against his bare stomach.
Hadley froze, her eyes widening as she found herself so close to him.
âIs it warm?â
Eric looked up at her, grinning, his sharp features softened by the dim light.
In that moment, a stinging sensation welled up in Hadleyâs nose.
Her grandmother was the last person to ever warm her feet in this way.
âIâm asking you a question,â Eric said, his gaze expectant. âArenât I something special?â
Hadley nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. She didnât dare speak further, afraid her emotions might spill over.
That was it? Eric felt a twinge of disappointmentâhe had anticipated a bit more praise. His eyes then sparkled with mischief.
âSweetheart, do you⦠have smelly feet?â
âWhat?â Hadley was taken aback. No way! The thought had never crossed her mind. She mumbled, âNo oneâs ever said my feet smell.â
âSilly girl,â Eric chuckled, barely containing his laughter. âWho would tell you that to your face? If they did, it would be behind your back.â
That logic made some sense, though Hadley felt a bit perplexed.

âUnlike me,â Eric said, grinning broadly. âI speak my mind.â
âYouâre ridiculous!â Hadley was mortified. âLet me smell them myself!â She tried to yank her foot away.
âIâll do it!â
Eric couldnât contain himself any longer. He grabbed her foot, brought it close to his nose, and took a deep breath. âHmm⦠Smells nice! Hahaha!â Hadley froze, but then quickly realizedâhe was teasing her!
âYouâre so annoying!â Frustrated, she playfully kicked at him. âStop it!â
âI couldnât help it! Your foot is so small, itâs adorable!â
Eric laughed, holding her foot and planting a light kiss on it. His dark eyes sparkled in the dim light of the car.
âYour feet donât stinkâthey smell amazing.â
Hadley stiffened at the sudden kiss, lowering her voice as she cast a glance at Sebastian.
âDonâtâ¦â
âWhat are you worried about?â Eric was as shameless as ever. âSebastian canât see anything.â
âYeah.â From the driverâs seat, Sebastian chimed in, âMiss Pearson, Mr. Flynn is right. I donât have eyes on the back of my head, and I certainly canât see a thing from back here. Donât mind me. Hehe.â
âSee?â Eric leaned closer, his forehead brushing against hers, raising his eyebrows in a smug smile.
Being so near, Hadley could see every single eyelash. His eyes were slightly lowered, and his beautiful lips curved into a gentle smile, the soft glow of the car lights accentuating his chiseled features.
