Chapter 770
Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 770:
Eric frowned, nodding slowly. âThen do you need me toââ
Before he could finish, Quentin burst in, flustered. âMr. Flynn! Miss Harris is here!â
Ernestâs brows furrowed. He glanced at Eric.
âIt wasnât me,â Eric said at once, shaking his head. âI found this place because Elissa called Hadley.â
Then why was Linda here?
Ernest smirked. She had always been suspicious of him having another woman.
There was no time to hesitate.
Ernest instructed, âQuentin, take Elissa out through the back door. Now.â
âUnderstood, Mr. Flynn!â Quentin hurried off.
âMove aside!â Linda stormed into the courtyard, her fury palpable.
The bodyguards blocked her path.
âMiss Harris, you canât go in!â
âGet out of my way!â Her eyes burned with rage as she glared at them. âWho do you think you are to stop me? Even Ernest wouldnât dare challenge me!â
The bodyguards struggled to hold Linda back, and that was when Ernest approached, leaning on his cane, with Eric by his side.
âLinda.â
So, he really was here.
Lindaâs lips curled into a cold smile. The private detectiveâs findings were accurate. She hadnât expected Eric to be here too. The brothers were closer than she thought.

So, Eric had been in on deceiving her as well?
âPerfect.â She nodded, her tone laced with sarcasm. âLetâs go in together.â Her eyes flashed with determination, as if preparing for battle. She clenched her teeth. âI want to see for myself what kind of breathtaking beauty our Mr. Flynn has been hiding away!â
âLinda!â Ernest grabbed her wrist, his dark gaze locking onto hers, his voice calm yet firm. âYou can go in, but thereâs no woman like you imagine inside.â
âReally?â Linda arched a brow, scoffing.
âYes!â Eric quickly chimed in. âLinda, Ernestâs justââ
âShut up!â She cut him off coldly. âDo I even need to point out how much you side with Ernest? I donât believe a word he saysâand I donât believe you either!â With a sharp tug, she wrenched free from Ernestâs grip and stormed inside, pushing the door open. âWhere is she? Come out!â
Linda stood in the middle of the living room, scanning the space.
Nothing.
The silence was suffocating, the eerie kind that made a place feel abandoned.
âNo⦠impossible!â
Refusing to accept it, Linda bolted upstairs.
âErnestâ¦â Eric cast a glance at his brother before following after her.
Upstairs, Linda flung open the master bedroomâs closet. Empty.
