Chapter 104
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
Frankâs expression remained the same. He leaned in to smell the essential oil and slightly frowned before he scanned the formula. Then a faint smile appeared on his face. âItâs a stupid trick!â
Although Frankâs voice was soft, Nathaniel heard him and asked excitedly, âMr. Moreau, does that mean you know how to adjust the formula?â âAdjust it? No, thereâs no need for that because this isnât the formula.â Frank waved and loosened his grip on the piece of paper, which dropped to the ground soon after. âThis isnât the formula?â Not only Nathaniel but everyone around him was dumbfounded.
âThatâs impossible! Weâve tried many times, and the scents are similar but with a tiny difference. If this isnât the formula, how could the two smell so alike?â someone raised their doubts.
The staff knew Nathaniel had brought Frank here, but none knew his identity. Hence, what Frank said earlier made everyone doubt his abilities.
Frank just smiled contemptuously. âItâs not because I said so.â He did not even bother to give them an explanation; the way he spoke made him appear overconfident and arrogant.
âMr. Hall, thatâs impossible. Weâve been testing it out for days. Although we donât have a solid answer yet, we are sure that the difference lies in one of the ingredients used. Give us some more time, and weâll be able to get the results soon.â
Both sides insisted that their own opinions were correct, making Nathaniel stuck in a dilemma.
Could it be that Frank made a mistake?
âYouâve spent so much time on this, yet you need to test it out again to get the results? You guys are a bunch of useless imbeciles, and no amount of time can change that fact,â Frank said harshly, not considerate of other peopleâs feelings.
His words riled everyone up as they looked at him furiously. âWhat did you say?â
âHey...â Nathaniel stopped them from arguing. âDonât be mad. The most important thing now is to find the source of the problem. It doesnât matter who it is; anyone who could create the original essential oil we had would be a hero to our company, and we will reward them!â
Nathanielâs words had two meanings to them. Firstly, he wanted to persuade them not to fight;
secondly, he implied to Frank that he would only get the reward if he could help the company âMr. Hall, the few samples we tested are already similar to the original one. Just give us more time, and we can...â
Before the staff could finish his words, Frank handed a piece of paper to Nathaniel. While they were talking earlier, Frank scribbled something down. âFollow this formula to create the essential oil.â
Nathaniel took the paper, disbelief written all across his face.
The other staff around him were curious and poked their heads to look at the paper too. They wanted to know who Frank was to be so confident in himself. However, a glance at the paper was all it needed to leave them stunned. âWhat language is that?â
âFrench.â Frank put the pencil down and dusted his hands, saying naturally, âIâm used to writing French instead of English. You can find a translator to translate whatever I just wrote.â Then he walked toward Nathaniel. âCan I go back to the hotel now? Iâm tired.â
âSure! But this...â Nathaniel held the piece of paper like it was a treasure, but he still had doubts. He knew a little French but wondered if the formula Frank scribbled would work. After all, all the labâs staff had been trying for a long time. Frank did not even conduct any experiments, but he insisted that his formula was correct.
In any case, Nathaniel could not doubt Frank before so many people since he brought Frank here to help them. He folded the paper and put it into his pocket. âAll right, letâs trust Mr. Moreau. Iâm sure heâs rightâgreat job to all of you for your work over the past few days. Head home and rest well. Also, find me a professional French translator as soon as possible!â
