Chapter 1044
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
As if what mattered most to her was being destroyed before her eyes, Hannah bawled as she spoke.
Seeing the tears on her sisterâs face, Heatherâs anger reached its peak instead.
âWhen has she ever cried like this? I had beaten her and locked her up for half a year, and she had never cried and made a scene like now. As a mere substitute and a shadow of mine, she shouldn't have her own thoughts, and yet she is begging me to let her have the stupid ring!â
âWith her shoulder injured, she canât even lift her arm. What kind of power pushes her to grab my hand for the ring?â
Heather thought she was wrong to underestimate Ralph Russell's influence over Hannah. She never expected that a d*uchebag like him could undo her years of nurturing Hannah and make her rebel against her. âI must never let her keep the ring!â
Having made the decision, her gaze turned grim, and she jerked her hand before kicking Hannah.
âF*ck off!â
The impact was so severe that Hannah flew and crashed heavily onto a chair. Falling on the floor, she coughed out blood.
It was so painful that every breath she took hurt, and she felt as if her internal organs had switched places. However, as she opened her eyes, she grew even more upset, seeing that the diamond ring that she had treasured had become a twisted lump in Heatherâs hand.
With the ring turning into a small clump, the diamond had fallen off somewhere. Heather tossed it over, and it dropped before her.
Staring down at her sister, Heather snorted mockingly. âI thought you wanted it? Iâm giving it back to you.â
âYou!â Hannah glared up at her. This was the first time she had eyed her sister with such anger and hatred.
Her stare unnerved Heather. âThis is the first time this useless bitch gave me such a look. She looks a bit like me now, doesnât she?â
However, Heather only felt threatened for a brief moment. She was used to not taking Hannah seriously, thinking that a worthless loser would always remain as one.
âSo what if she hates me? She should blame herself for being born and the Riggs family for having such a rule. It's her fault that she couldnât be somebody and only could serve as my cover.â
âLock her up, and donât let her leave the room without my permission.â
She sternly gave the order and said, âBandage her wound.â
Not wanting her dead yet, she decided to have Hannahâs injury treated. However, she would not do more than that.
As if not hearing anything, Hannah only held on to the lump. Although it was out of shape, she still treated it like a treasure.
However, she looked miserable, as if nothing else mattered, and nothing could delight her ever again.
Chump carried her off the dirty floor and brought her away. Heather glanced in the direction Hannah was taken away and felt an oppressive pain in her chest as she heaved a sigh of relief.
She was upset that she had not fully recovered.
Still unable to get her hands on the secret handbook, Hannah knew that she was no match for Alexander, and she grew dismayed that Hannah was giving her trouble at the same time.
âThis is all that douchebagâs fault!â
