Chapter 1328
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
âAnastasiaâs family might not complain if Lily could improve her health, but they would blame her if she fails"
Thoughtful for a moment, Lily touched her lips with a finger. " Howâs the Rollinsâ relationship with their relatives?"
"Are you talking about her uncleâs wife, Mrs. Moore?" Alexander caught on to what she was asking.
"Ms. Rollinsâ mother passed away when she was young, and Secretary Rollins was too busy to look after her. As a little girl, she was often cared for by her uncle and his wife, besides the nanny.
"The couple has a daughter too, and the two girls grew up together as companions." Alexander did not know much, but as he was somewhat close with Cameron, he had learned a thing or two about Cameronâs family.
"Then they should be close, shouldnât they?" Lily asked again. From how Maria reacted today, she felt they were not really on good terms or close with each other.
âIf sheâs close with Anastasia, why would she call her fat in front of others? Even if thatâs the fact, those words were hurtful. Anyone who truly cares about someone would never do such a thing"
"I have no idea." Alexander shook his head. "You care about Ms. Rollins, donât you?"
"I just think sheâs a good person, and I feel bad seeing her suffer a chronic disease at such a young age." She sighed. "However, after what happened today, I feel it might not be easy to invite her over again."
"Are you saying that Secretary Rollins would interfere?"
Lily nodded. She could imagine how Maria would spice up her story to make her look bad. âShe mustâve thought Iâm a great villain for chasing away that so-called miracle doctor"
When Anastasia reached home, she saw her fatherâs car parked there and felt anxious.
Maria saw her reaction and said as she pointed at the car, "See that? How are you going to answer your father?"
"Aunt Maria..." she said softly, almost pleading.
As if ignoring her, Maria opened the door, got out of the car, and strode into the house.
Standing outside, Anastasia hesitated for a while before lifting her head and entering after the woman.
Aman was drinking tea at the dining table. He looked even more severe with his glasses on.
"youâre home early, Ron! Anyway, itâs good that youâve returned. You must teach Tasia a lesson. God knows what sort of people she hung out with lately, and she doesnât care one bit about her health anymore!" The moment she entered the door, Maria started to babble.
Looking up slowly, Cameron Rollins removed his glasses. "Yes? Why are you here?" he asked.
"Well, I brought a miracle doctor over to examine Tasia, but she wasnât home. So I took him toâ"
