Chapter 1332
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
Now that she had her fatherâs permission, Anastasia happily prepared to go out the next day.
She hadnât told Lily about it yet. She planned to tell her the good news in person and have her meal at Lilyâs house today. She even started to wonder what delicious food would be served.
Just as she was about to leave, she saw Fabian Moore enter carrying two huge shopping bags and was alarmed.
She worried that her aunt had not given up and had made him come over to persuade her father. âIf he succeeds in swaying my father, then.."
"Tasia, are you going out?" Fabian saw her and asked.
"Yes, Uncle Fabian, you're here to..." She saw him carrying so much stuff and knew he was up to something.
Fabian chuckled. "Iâm here to talk to your father about something. Is he home?"
âIâve guessed correctly!â
Anastasia blurted out, "My fatherâs not aroundâ"
Before she finished, Cameron's voice came from behind her, " What's the matter?"
Fabian was puzzled. 'Didnât Tasia say heâs not home?â
He brushed it off and walked past her with the bags. "Ron, Rhea brought some good stuff for you from Southern Nino a few days ago. Where should I put them?"
"That's very nice of her," Cameron said flatly, "I'm not always home, though, and I don't need them.
Why donât you take them back?"
"These are dried goods, and you can keep them for a long time! Besides, Rhea wanted you to keep them, and she might get upset if I take them back. Tell her yourself if you want to return her gifts, okay?
I wonât be able to handle her tantrums..."
He laughed and put down the bags at an empty spot.
Anastasia glanced and saw many smaller bags stacked inside them, emitting a mild scent of plants.
"Tasia, arenât you going out?" Cameron asked after seeing her just standing there.
Catching herself, Anastasia nodded. "Yes, Iâm about to."
"where are you going? I thought you didnât like going out? Since you are, why donât you visit Rhea?
She just returned from Southern Nino, and Iâm sure she has many interesting stories to tell you."
Sitting down, Fabian said laughingly, "You donât go out much and are not as wild as my daughter. Sheâs gone everywhere and kept telling your aunt and me about strange encounters weâve never heard of!"
He tried to sound like he was complaining, but one could tell from his voice and smiling face that he was rather proud.
"Well, as you said, Uncle Fabian, Rhea is different from me. Iâm afraid we would have nothing to talk about and she would find me boring instead," Anastasia answered. "I think it's best not to."
Fabian was speechless. Before he could say anything, Anastasia continued, "Dad, I better get going.
Call me if you need me, okay?" Cameron nodded and gazed after her as she left.
Fabian looked astonished. "She's asking you to call her? I thought she used to be scared to answer your call the most?"
Looking away, Cameron did not reply.
