Chapter 1346
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
"You seem to know a lot about Lily, Granduncle."
Austin looked at Dominic strangely, finding Dominicâs reaction too unusual.
Whenever Austin mentioned someone in the past, be it his grandfather or parents, Dominic had never looked so excited before.
Only mentioning Lily would make him look hesitant and cause him to lose control over his emotions.
"Do I?"
Dominic raised a brow and was determined not to admit to it.
"Iâm just interested in that experiment you guys are doing! I like seeing you lose too."
Austin was rendered speechless for a moment.
"Iâm your grandson!"
Austin whined.
"Cut the cr*p!"
Dominic put his hand up and widened the distance between the two.
"Iâm all alone and without children, so how would I have any grandchildren?"
"Thatâs why I treat you like my grandfather. In the future, I'll take care of you and manage your funeral-"
Before Austin finished his words, Dominic interjected, âStop that! Funeral, my *ss! Even if there is one, itâll be for your grandpa.
I can live till Iâm 200 years old! I havenât seen enough of this world!"
"Y-You're right. You'll live till youâre 200.I just wanted to say that ; I treat you like my own grandfather, so how could you be on an mn outsiderâs side? Or are you closer to Lily? Who is she really?"
"What outsider? Work is work, and thatâs all Iâm focused on.I donât give ad*mn who you are!"
Dominic rolled his eyes at Austin and continued, "You're not brilliant enough, yet you used my Name to scam everyone out there! How dare you have the guts to look down on anyone? Youâ re suffering a loss now, arenât you? You need to stop being so arrogant and conceited!"
"Granduncle, when have I ever looked down on anyone..."
Although slightly conceited, Austin believed he was not that arrogant. He knew someone out there would be better than him, but it would never be Lily.
"Donât you look down on women?"
That made Austin choke on his spit and instantly rendered him speechless.
"What is wrong with you, punk? Your grandfather and father are not biased toward a patriarchal system, but how did you turn out this way? You look down on women, so how could you face your mom? Fortunately, your grandma passed away early.Otherwise, would you look down on her too?"
Initially, Dominic wanted to avoid bothering with this, but since they were on the topic, he could not help but nag at Austin.
After all, he watched the kid grow up, and Austin could be considered quite intelligent.
However, he wondered where Austin learned such behavior. It did not concern him before as he did not have to see Austin daily.
"Granduncle, itâs not that I look down on women.I think men and women have different responsibilities and should do their jobs well!" Austin explained himself.
He never thought of himself as someone who looked down on women.Still, he did not like women who overstepped their boundaries and did not do their jobs well.Hence, he kept finding faults with Lily because he felt the lab was not where she should be.Plus, she kept getting the spotlight all to herself.
"Different jobs?"
Dominic scoffed and threw Austin a sideways glance.
"Tell me about it then. What's their job, and what isnât?"
Austin was shocked, but he answered Dominicâs question confidently, "Since ancient times, men were the ones who worked in the business while women stayed home.
"If men were the ones who worked hard to support the family, women should be obedient and manage things at home, such as cooking and caring for their children.Thatâs what women should do.They shouldnât be out there competing with men and fighting with them when they can't agree!"
