Chapter 1429
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
"Dee-Dee won't let..."
Turning around, he pointed upstairs.
"Mom and Tasia want to talk." He could say simple, incoherent sentences.
Lily was initially concerned, wondering if he had trouble expressing himself, but she later learned through research that Galen was considered a precocious communicator.
A child his age was unable to put sentences together coherently.
Galen was doing quite well, and he was able to express his thoughts logically.
Hearing what he said, Lily and Anastasia almost looked upstairs at the same time and saw Daisy hurry over to the stairwell and smile in embarrassment.
"Ma'am, I worried that he would disturb you, so I didnât let him go downstairs, but he ran out when I went to get some clothes for him."
"Itâs okay.Iâll keep Galen company.Go do your things," Lily said blandly.
Daisy said, "Okay," and went back upstairs. Carrying Galen over, Anastasia sat on the sofa and asked, despite herself, "Lily, the nanny is so young!"
"She's slightly over 30, I think. She is quite young indeed."
Lily nodded.
"She doesnât look like 30, more like 20 something. Sheâs also quite pretty. Donât you feel worried about hiring such a nanny? What if ..."
She paused, probably thinking it was inappropriate to say what was on her mind.
"what if Alexander ends up having an affair with her?" Lily smiled nonchalantly.
Anastasia pursed her lips into a smile.
"N-No, no way! No matter how young and pretty she is, sheâs not as beautiful as you are. Besides, you're so capable. If I were a man, I would choose you too!"
"Me too!" the boy hurriedly said.
The two women laughed.
Lily said, "Being someone of his stature, Alex could have an affair anytime he liked, and no one could stop him. However, I donât worry about such a possibility."
She shrugged and said, "Perhaps he worries more about me having an affair."
"Nonsense. Youâre not that kind of person."
Anastasia retorted immediately.
"What's âhaving an affairâ?" The little boy asked curiously.
The two realized what they said was too complicated for a child to understand, yet children at this stage loved listening to adults when they talked.
"Uh..Uh..."
Anastasia did not know how to reply.
Lily thought about it and said, "Itâs being dishonest to someone else and doing what you shouldnât. Itâs something bad."
He put his eyebrows together and thought about it for a while, then gave a strong nod as if he understood.
"Then I wonât have an affair!"
Anastasia burst out laughing.
Lily joined her.
âHe truly has no idea what heâs talking about!â The boy blinked, not sure why they were laughing.
âDid I say something wrong? I shouldn't do a bad and dishonest thing, right???
