A short while later, Lily and Galen return, holding hands.

"What kind of parents are they? Their son hasn’t returned home for days, yet they aren’t worried.They’re heartless like Austin’s grandpa!"

Dominic thundered, attacking even his brother.

"Austin hasn't gone home for days?"

Lily caught on to the critical point and could tell something was wrong.

Dominic’s mood only got better seeing Galen.

Grinning, he crouched down and hugged Galen lovingly.

"Aren’t Austin’s parents worried that he hasn’t returned for a few days?"

"Not even the slightest!"

Dominic pouted.

"They say it happens all the time and should mind their business since Austin is a grownup.Why should I be worried when his parents don’t even give ad*mn? I say to hell with him!"

‘There’s nothing to worry about since he’s experimenting at the lab."

However, Lily was puzzled.

Indeed, things could get hectic at the laboratory.

One might not even have time to answer a call while focusing on work.

Still, there was always time to check the phone whenever one was on break or awaiting lab results.

Dominic was having fun playing with Galen and said reluctantly, "Why don’t you call him yourself if you'd like to try?"

She was telling the truth about not having Austin’s number.

Since she and Austin were not on good terms and could hardly see eye to eye, it was pointless for Lily to save his contact information.

Dominic mumbled and gave his phone to Lily, who found the number and made the call.

As expected, an automated voice said that the phone was off.

"That's weird!"

She shook her head and asked, "So he switched it off when you called the last time?"

Perplexed, Dominic thought about it and said, "Yes! He hung up my call, then switched off his phone when I called again."

"That doesn’t make sense.If Austin could turn off his phone, then he was using it.Why wouldn’t he say anything to you and simply switch it off? I think he’s in danger."

Lily was initially doubtful, but she was certain after hearing what Dominic said.

"No way!"

He also felt that something was up.
