There was silence over the phone all of a sudden.

‘Jeez! This little boy must’ve done something bad again!’ Lily resigned and let out a sigh.

"Galen, can’t you be kinder a bit to grandpa?"

He said immediately, feeling that he was a good boy.

Dominic’s voice sounded from afar.

"Mommy..."

Galen seemed to be talking to Dominic.

Lily addressed him.

"Have you reached Burnwken? Hmm, the signal is not bad!"

Dominic said throatily, thinking that Lily had already left and was calling from there.

"No, I didn’t leave the country.I’m still in Kingsland," Lily answered.

She soon heard the physician bellow, "What? What do you mean you didn't leave the country? Are you playing with me? Did you leave your child with me to enjoy your freedom? Come back quickly and take the little brat away!"

"Grandpa, I’m not going," Galen said innocently.

Lily then heard Dominic trying to coax the boy in a meager voice, "No, no, I’m just trying to scare your mommy."

Lily was dumbfounded.

"Old man, I have something important to tell you."

She cleared her throat and said solemnly.

"What important things? Isn’t your son important too?"

Dominic raised his voice.

"How come you’ve become so wishy-washy? Just when the hell are you leaving? The sooner you leave, the sooner you can come back.What are you stalling for?"

"I won’t be going for the time being. I’ll let Galen stay at your place for a few days, and then after I’m done handling my affairs, I'll pick him up."

After a pause, she said gravely, "Also, I think something could have happened to Austin."

"A few days? He can’t even stay for one more day, okay? Let me tell you..."
