Chapter 1676
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
However, his phone had been taken away when he was held. As he had no way to communicate with the outside world, Austin planned to go downstairs to seek help from Dominic.
When he tried to open the door, he realized it was locked from the outside.
He was surprised when he was unable to open the door. He yanked it, then twisted the handle, but the door did not budge. Austin pulled the handle with all his might, but to no avail.
Then he realized Dominic had locked him inside the room.
âBut why? Didnât he say there was no virus in me? Why did he lock me up if thereâs no virus?â
âUncle Dom, open the door! Uncle Dom?!â He banged on the door and shouted, trying to get Dominic to come.
However, no one responded even after he shouted till his throat hurt. Either there was no one upstairs or Dominic was intentionally ignoring him.
At his wit's end, Austin turned and looked around, then finally came to the window and opened it to look downstairs.
He could not stick his head out due to a security grille outside the window, but he was able to check out the situation downstairs. The yard was empty. Usually, three or five servants would tidy up the garden, but there were none today.
âUncle Dom? Uncle Dom,â he called out, but saw no sign of anyone. âHow weird!â
He struggled to lean out and tried vainly to pry open the grille with his bare hands. He shouted again, âUncle Dom! Uncle-â
He stopped halfway as someone seemed to have emerged downstairs.
Austin was initially unsure because the person was too small and hobbled. The person walked to the middle of the yard and looked up. âYes?â
Austin was dumbfounded. The voice was childish and sounded as if it was answering his call.
Seeing that the person was none other than Lilyâs son, he cleared his throat and thundered, âYou little brat! Whereâs my uncle-"
He paused, thinking that he might not understand. âWhere's Grandpa?â
âYes?â the boy answered him.
Austin was speechless.
âGo and get Grandpa. Iâm looking for him!â He roared and waved. â Be a good boy. Iâll give you candy later, okay?â
Galen lowered his head and seemingly thought about what the man said, then looked up at him again.
âLiar!â
Austin was flabbergasted.
âIâm not a liar! I'll give you candy.â He wondered why the boy thought he was a liar.
âCan't I afford to give him a couple of candies? The boy truly makes no sense like his mother.â
âHuman trafficker!â Galen pointed his finger at him and said, I emphasizing each syllable.
