Chapter 2033
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2033 -Edward soon returned to the car, where Alexander sat leaning against the backseat instead of sitting straight as usual.
The car was spacious enough for the man to relax and stretch his legs. However, he could not conceal the dark circles under his eyesâhe was too exhausted.
He had worked nonstop for the past few days and finally made a breakthrough. He could convey some messages through the doctor to Lily to ask her to wait patiently. Still, it took a toll on him.
âAlex, that man isâ¦â Edward could not help but ask.
The person in the photo looked familiar at first glance, and Edward later remembered Alexander had once dealt with him before.
âIf heâs behind this, the situation will be tricky.â
âItâs him.â Alexander pinched the bridge of his nose and sounded husky as he lowered his gaze. He guessed it was him, and the doctorâs answer only confirmed his speculation.
âHow could it be him? If so, wouldnât it mean the organizationâs mastermind isâ¦â Edward shuddered.
âIf heâs involved, weâre facing a formidable mastermind. However, it makes sense now why we could never strike at the organizationâs core, why we couldnât find Nick, why he is being kept within the Royal Palace of Yudonia, and why the organization has such strong support.
âAt the same time, if Alex is right, the conspiracy must be immense, and weâll face a worldwide catastrophe. What the hell are they up to?â
Edward dared not think further. He subconsciously looked toward his boss and saw him knitting his brow. He rarely saw Alexander looking so troubled after serving him for many years.
âI must talk to Cameron about this,â Alexander sighed and continued, âItâs not something we can solve alone.â
Edward nodded. âWell, itâs simply beyond us.â
No matter how powerful the Russell family was and how successful their overseas business might be, Alexander was just a businessman, and it was not easy for him to gain access to the likes of those from the Royal Palace of Yudonia.
Even his interaction with Fred was limited.
âBut Secretary Rollinsâ¦â Edward hesitated.
Cameron was still biding his time to infiltrate the organization through Rhea.
âWe canât wait that long,â Alexander said, shaking his head.
Then he gravely instructed, âNow that we know whoâs behind the organization, he doesnât need to risk his life. Come on, letâs go to the Mooresâ house.â
âAlex, would you like to get some rest first? You havenât slept for three days.â
Having lost weight, Alexander now looked haggard with his two cheeks sunken. He said, âWeâre running out of time! Just drive. Iâll take a nap in the car.â
He laid down and crossed his arms, attempting to sleep for a while.
Edward knew he could not dissuade Alexander and could only obey his boss. The former steadily drove so that Alexander could sleep more comfortably.
