Chapter 2038

Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2038-Since Austin had been too busy, he made three simple burgers.

His cooking skills had improved these past few days, and the burgers smelled delicious.

Galen devoured his food, and Austin passed a burger to his granduncle, saying, “I’ve removed the virus from you completely, right? Your pulse has been good from yesterday till this morning. Could the virus be concealing itself again?”

“I don’t think so.” Dominic shook his head and stretched his arms. “I feel energized all over my body now.”

“That’s great! If so, we can draw out the virus using acupuncture. Still, I don’t know why the acupuncture needle could draw it out.” Austin was still puzzled whenever he recalled what happened the night before.

Even though he removed the virus, he did not understand how it worked.

Dominic shook his head and said, “It’s not about drawing it out. When the virus meets its rival, it’s unable to withstand it and simply dies.”

“Rival?” Austin stopped eating his burger and cocked his head thoughtfully. “Are you saying the immune system kicked in?”

Dominic looked at his grandnephew approvingly and thought, ‘He’s getting smarter now.’

The older man enjoyed his food and said, “You’re right, from a mainstream medicine viewpoint. Our bodies suffer when we can’t recover from the virus’s vicious attack, which weakens our organs.

“Still…” Dominic paused, turned to Galen, and lovingly held the little one’s hand. “Thank goodness for this little guy. It’s a good thing we discovered the antibodies in him.”

“Yeah, we owe everything to Galen this time!” Austin nodded. “I never expected his blood to contain antibodies.”

“Those silver needles only worked because you soaked them in the medicine containing his blood. In other words, Galen defeated the virus.”

Galen overheard the grownups’ conversation and blinked in puzzlement. However, he knew they were signing his praises and grinned.

When Dominic saw Galen grinning, he felt all his troubles had disappeared. The older man chuckled, saying, “You deserve the most credit, okay, little champ? I’ll buy you a bunch of yummy food as your reward. I’ll also reserve all my herbs to make up for your sacrifice, okay?”

The initially beaming Galen heard about the herbs and frowned. “I don’t want them. They’re bitter!”

Lily had previously prepared some herbal medicines for Galen, but he found they tasted horrible. Upon hearing Dominic mention the herbs, he instinctively expressed his dislike.

“Hey, do you know how many people want to get their hands on my herbs?” Dominic playfully patted Galen and chuckled. “Even your mommy has been eyeing them, you know?”

“Mommy…” Galen was glad to hear that word, but the joy in his eyes soon disappeared.

Dominic realized he should not have mentioned Lily. He felt terrible when he saw how sad Galen looked. “Don’t worry, okay? Your mommy will return soon. Maybe she’ll even bring your siblings when she does!”

‘Lily should be giving birth soon. Why haven’t we heard from her yet? If even Alex fails to reach her…’

Dominic could not help but worry for Lily.
