Chapter 2089

Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2089-Mike felt rejuvenated after showering and changing his clothes at Alexander’s house. Mike had lived in constant uncertainty and despair over the past few months. He did not even know how he managed to get through it until today.

He was still confused when he went to the embassy and came back.

Mike faced panic when the organization took his son, was helpless when he got blackmailed and eventually accepted this reality. He tried everything to rescue Nick and almost forgot how his son used to talk to him.

Now that the “boss” was dead, Mike lost his only connection to Nick. Even though Mike knew where his son was, he could not rush in and save him. He felt utterly useless.

He looked at the photos of his son on his phone, along with the secretly stored video clips, feeling sad.

After putting on his clothes, he left the room and saw Alexander sitting in the living room.

Meanwhile, Edward stood beside Alexander, seemingly giving a report. The duo heard some movements and looked at Mike.

Mike quickened his pace and came downstairs, asking, “Any new updates?”

Alexander shook his head. “There hasn’t been any significant progress so far.”

Mike felt frustrated when he heard that. He went to pour himself some water before turning to them, saying, “Are we just going to keep waiting like this? I feel so powerless!”

He felt depressed and desperate. He had tried to find solutions but felt increasingly helpless as time passed.

‘Even Alex can’t devise a better solution.’

Alexander and Edward remained silent, not saying a thing.

Mike sighed and continued with a frown, “We still can’t do anything, even though we know where Lily and Nicky are. We can’t even threaten the organization since they’re holding our loved ones hostage.

“Is there nothing we can do? Can our country do something if they know what’s happening?”

“This is not just our private matter,” Alexander responded, “It involves much more substantial issues.

You know who we’re dealing with.”

“I do, but why are they still holding my son? Before, it was to blackmail me and get me to do their bidding. I complied, but what about now? Why won’t they release Nick? Lily is valuable to them, but my son isn’t!” Mike became more agitated as he spoke.

He could not understand why the organization still won’t release his son. His anxiety intensified with no recent contact, sight, or sound of Nick.

Mike knew how inhumane the organization was as they conducted experiments on humans without regard for humanity.

‘What about Nicky? Are they experimenting on him too? Those who hold no value to them are no different than lab rats.’

“Mike, calm down,” Alexander advised, “We are all anxious, but there’s nothing we can do.”

“My son has been with them for several months. How can you expect me to stay calm?!” Mike could not help but yell. “Honestly, I don’t see how you’re not as anxious as I am!”
