Chapter 2181
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
Lily turned to look at Fred. âHow can I be sure the babies you gave my husband are mine?â
Fred was stunned and upset. He bolted to his feet and asked, âAre you trying to mess with me?â
âNo, I just want to make sure theyâre mine instead of someone elseâs you kidnapped.â Lily had not considered that possibility before. Still, she almost burst into tears when she saw Alexander holding the bag and carefully checking if they were still breathing.
She always knew him to be calm, but she saw his finger shaking when he checked their breathing.
Lily never expected to stay at the embassy for so long. She could not leave, even after giving birth. She suspected she might never get out of there.
At that moment, she truly hated Fred for conducting the experiments. He was why she got separated from her family, and the world was in chaos.
âWhere the hell can I find two babies of similar age?â Fred never even considered that.
âHer suspicions are driving me insane!â
âIâm trying to make a deal with you. I donât have a use for your babies! Do you think Iâd bother tricking you?!â he shouted, âGive me the antidote now!â
âHow would I know what use you have for them? Nick is just a kid, yet you want to keep him anyway, right?â Lily blandly responded, knowing she had agitated him. However, the more annoyed he was, the more likely she might get the answer she wanted.
Lily was curious why Fred insisted on keeping Nick despite the antidote.
âThatâs different! I carefully selected him toââ He suddenly shut up. He caught himself before revealing too much and grew even angrier.
Fred realized Lily had been leading him on with her words. He retorted, âLily, Iâm warning you now.
Youâll die if you keep this up!â
Lily smiled in response, âOh? Arenât I going to die anyway?â
âYouââ
Lily did her best to provoke Fred, knowing he could not kill her now. She also knew his death threats would never work on someone who did not fear dying. Although Lily did not want to die, she knew her fate if she could not escape.
Nothing would matter if she died sooner or later.
âAll right, quit stalling! Whereâs the antidote?â Fred stretched his hand. âIf you go back on your word, I promise to take your babies away from your husband! Although I canât kill you now, I can give you hell!â
Fred chuckled menacingly.
Lily raised her brow and looked at him without a word.
Immediately after, Fred shouted, âGive me the antidote!â
