Chapter 2205
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
Alexander drove to Dominicâs place that night.
As if knowing he would come, the older man had prepared a pot of tea and some dishes.
He smiled upon seeing Alexander, saying, âIâve been waiting for you.â âHow did youââ âYou must've come to ask about the invisible woman, huh?â Dominic cut to the chase.
Alexander chuckled.
âDidn't you say itâs nothing but horseshit?â Dominic laughed heartily.
âYes, itâs horseshit indeed! Still, I knew youâd come and ask about it in person.
I just didnât expect you to come this soon.
How about we talk over dinner?â He poured Alexander a cup of tea and filled his own glass with wine.
Alexander nodded.
âSure!â He glanced around and asked, âWhereâs Galen?â âHe is playing in the back.
I didnât tell him youâd be coming, just in case you didnât.
I don't want to disappoint him.â The older man was considerate.
Alexander felt bad knowing Galen must have missed him and Lily.
âT heard the twins have returned, huh?â Dominic asked after sipping his wine.
Alexander nodded.
âYes, they have!â He was not surprised that Dominic knew because he knew Austin must have told him.
âThatâs excellent news!â Dominic nodded, âIâm sure Lily will be next.â âI've failed her.â Alexander finished his tea in one gulp.
He could not drink alcohol to drown his sorrow since he drove here alone.
Dominic said without trying to console him, âYes, you have.
As her husband, you should ensure her safety.
Even if sheâs strong enough to look after herself, thereâs no point in marrying you if you canât care for her, right?â âYouâre right.â Alexander lowered his head, agreeing with the older man.
Dominic lifted his glass and said, âIâm not trying to tell you off but to state a fact.
Of course, I know what Lilyâs like.
Sheâs stubborn as a mule, and you canât change her mind once she has decided something.
I guess you two haven't prepared yourselves for this shit.â Alexander knew that was something Dominic had wanted to say for quite some time.
âWhoever created those viruses is a disgrace to the medical profession!â the older man scolded angrily.
Then, he tried to console himself, âWell, they arenât the first to have done horrible things like that.
Also, invisibility is total bullshit.
Not everything we see in movies can happen in real life.
Everything should adhere to laws of nature, and invisibility doesnât.â Alexander did not interrupt since Dominic spoke enthusiastically.
âThatâs why I said it was impossible when Austin told me about it,â Dominic kept drinking as he spoke, âSo, have you found the so -called invisible woman?â Alexander shook his head.
âNot yet.â âShe must be hiding then.
When you do, tell me,â the older man said, âI'd like to see what an invisible woman looks like.â
