Chapter 2223
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2223-Fred stood in the elevator with unease. Although Ross did not hold much real power as a prince, he had some ministersâ support.
âJust what the hell is he up to coming here so suddenly?â Fred wondered.
The elevator soon reached his office floor. Fred stepped aside to let the prince exit, then followed him.
âWhereâs your office?â Ross asked.
Fred led the way. âThis way, Your Highness.â
He brought the prince to the office respectfully and unlocked the door. The moment he did, Ross opened the door before he could.
Indeed, there were piles of documents on the desk and floor. Some items were haphazardly stacked on one side, and the computer was still on. At that moment, Fredâs phone rang on the desk.
âSee?â Fred smiled apologetically. As he marched over and was about to pick up the phone, the prince said, âWait a minute.â
He joined Fred and stood beside him. Giving him a look, he pressed the speakerphone button and gestured for the duke to proceed.
Fred shrugged nonchalantly. âHello, this is Fred.â
âYour Grace, the envoy from Zavonia will arrive tomorrow and has scheduled a meeting with you at 3 pm. Thereâs also the envoy from Mythoraâ¦â
The person reported many official matters, and Fred responded steadily. When the caller finished, Fred glanced at Ross. Since the latter did not react, Fred hung up the call.
âYouâre swamped, as you said, huh?â Ross asked as he sat in Fredâs chair.
Fred smiled. âWell, itâs all part of the job.â
âIt must be hard to deal with diplomatic tasks while caring for my mom. Iâll tell her youâve done a great job,â Ross said placidly.
âI appreciate it, Your Highness. Iâm just doing my job,â he replied smilingly.
Ross turned and glanced at the computer screen full of various documents and data. He asked casually, âOh, yes, my mom hasnât been in the palace lately. Do you know where she went?â
Fred paused momentarily before saying, âHer Majesty did come here, but we didnât announce it because it isnât an official visit. She left afterward, but Iâm unsure where she went.â
âShe only said she wanted to travel,â he added thoughtfully.
âYou follow her everywhere, yet you donât know where she is?â Ross raised his brow doubtfully.
âDonât listen to the rumors, sire!â Fred exclaimed innocently, âI donât mind if people say that about me, but itâs terrible for the queenâs reputation. People always see me with her only because of work.â
Fred was eager to prove his loyalty and innocence.
Ross smiled faintly and asked, âWhy are you so worried? Iâm not insinuating anything.â
