Chapter 2244
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2244 -Even after nudging her with his cane, Lily remained still. Fred grew alarmed as the tip of his cane was slightly sharp, which should have stung her. He shook her, shouting, âLily?! Lily!â
Realizing she was not faking it and might be asleep or dead, he yelled, âGet me a doctor, stat!â
Since guards were outside, they soon fetched several doctors. They anxiously gathered while Fred pointed to Lily in the bed, flustered despite himself. He could not afford to let her die now since he still needed her body.
He wanted to use her to at least test if R10 would work.
âIt would be such a pity if she dies now. All my efforts would go to waste. No, I canât let her die now!â
Fred thought.
He grabbed a doctorâs collar and shouted, âYou must save her!â
Knowing his bad temper, the doctor nervously said, âSheâs not dead yet, Your Grace! Sheâs just passed out. However, her readings are worseningââ
Fred impatiently pulled him up by his collar. âSo?â
âThis is a bad sign. Lily could be dyingâ¦â The doctor did not want to say it, but Fred gave him no choice.
âSheâs dying?â Fred stared at Lily in disbelief.
âWhy would he say that? Sheâs still breathing, isnât she?â
âShe was fine two days ago. Why is she dying now?â He was unconvinced. âWhatâs wrong with her?â
The doctorâs teeth clattered as he stammered, âI-I have no idea. However, the readings show her blood pressure and heart rate are abnormal. Her heartbeat, especially, is so slow that it looks like itâs about to stop at any time. Thereâs no doubt that sheâs dying!â
Although he was afraid, he had to tell the truth. If not, Fred might kill him if Lily suddenly died.
âHer heartbeat is stopping?â Fred let the doctor go and turned to look at the heart rate monitor. Indeed, it was dangerously slow.
âWhy is it so slow? Canât you just give her some stimulation?â he suggested.
The doctor waved no. âWe canât! If we do, she might not be able to take it. Besides, sheâs in a coma!â
âHow do I stimulate someone still in a coma?â he thought.
