Spoiled by Mr. Russell
Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2256-Oh?â Ross raised his brow and asked, âAre you sure Iâve never tasted that wine before?â
âOf course, Iâm sure.â Rhea leaned forward to place the exquisite-looking wine bottle on the desk. âItâs a specialty wine from Hyderland.â
âIâve visited Hyderland many times and have tried food and beverages from all over the world. How are you so sure I havenât tasted something like that before?â Ross remained unconvinced.
Rhea smiled, âThatâs because itâs home-brewed.â
âOh?â
Rhea poured the wine as she spoke, âMy dad made it when I was born, and I just retrieved it from the cellar. It smells amazing.â
Its aroma filled the room. Ross sniffed the air, praising, âIt smells like a good wine, all right.â
âTry it, Your Highness,â Rhea said as she handed the glass to him, âSee how different it is from the ones you had before.â
Although he complimented the smell, he did not take it.
âI just had red wine. I might get drunk if I drink more.â Indeed, Ross was cautious. âSince your dad made it for you, you should save it.â
Rhea said earnestly, âI donât drink much, Your Highness. I might as well give it to someone who can better appreciate a good wine.â
Ross thought pondered while tapping the table. After a while, he said, âLeave it here then.â
Rhea was not ready to give up. She continued to persuade him, âWhy donât you try it now? Although itâs an aged wine, one canât get drunk by drinking it. Even if you do, I promise you wonât wake up with a hangover.â
Ross looked at her. âIs it that remarkable?â
âWell, why donât you find out yourself?â Rhea looked at him enchantingly.
Ross looked at her and then at the wine. He briefly raised the glass to his lips, then returned it to her. âItâs your wine. Why donât you taste it first?â
Rhea chuckled. âYouâre scared Iâve poisoned it, huh? I wouldnât dare to do so.
Besides, Iâm in the embassy. People will kill me if I try to poison you.â
After getting no response, she continued, âWell then, itâs my honor that Your Highness wants me to drink it.â
She downed the wine with one gulp. While pointing at the emptied glass, she said, âThat should put your mind at ease, right?â
Ross pondered momentarily, then pointed his chin at the bottle of wine. âPour me a glass. Iâll taste it.â
Pleased, Rhea refilled the glass.
Ross took the glass and raised it to his lips. He sniffed the wine, seemingly still hesitant.
Rhea asked, âAre you still worried? Why donât I drink another glass?â
âNah,â Ross said, âI canât let you enjoy such a good wine alone, can I?â
He took a sip.
