Chapter 2361
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
The man didnât do as Yasmin said and turned to place the tray on the nearby coffee table. His gentle voice seemed out of place with his sturdy frame, âYour Majesty, if you donât eat, your body wonât be able to cope.â
Yasmin frowned and continued to stare out the window, saying, âI said I donât want to. Are you defying my orders, too?â The man turned and walked up to her, his large body blocking the moonlight from outside. Upset, the queen looked up at him. âWhat are you doing?â
âYour Majesty, you know Iâll never defy your orders. However, Iâll stay here to keep you company until you eat something,â he spoke stubbornly, remaining where he was.
Yasmin glared up at him, but he didnât even look away and stood placidly with his arms crossed. After a while, her eyes grew sore, and she looked down, rubbing them. âJust go. Iâll have the dinner later.â
The man didnât budge. âIâll take the tray away when you finish the food.â
In other words, he wouldnât leave until she ate.
Yasmin grew upset. âI donât need your supervision, okay?â
âYour health is my top priority, Your Majesty,â he said impassively.
âRick, do you think youâre special? Or do you think youâve done a great service by helping me spy on Fred?â Yasmin said, narrowing her eyes.
The man standing before her was none other than Rick. As he was backlit, one couldnât see his expression. However, his standing there gave off a sense of loneliness.
âI donât, Your Majesty.â
âYou donât? Then why arenât you following my orders!â She suddenly grabbed the glass beside her and smashed it onto the floor.
Still, Rick remained where he was as if nothing had happened. He said blandly, âYou shouldnât get so worked up, Your Majesty.â âAll thanks to you!â she retorted. Although she sounded upset, she appeared more like she was sulking rather than rageful.
Rick bent over, took a glass of milk from the tray, and handed it to her. âIf you donât have an appetite, at least have some milk. Itâll help you sleep.â
Yasmin accepted the milk and was about to take a sip when she realized what he said. She then sighed and put the glass down. âSleep? Itâs not so easy to fall asleep, okay?â
Besides thinking about Dominic said, she had sat there because she couldnât sleep.
