Chapter 2379
Spoiled by Mr. Russell
âWhat do you think would happen if you died just now?â Dominic asked.
Yasmin was puzzled.
Before she could answer, he said, âWould the world have ended? No, nothing wouldâve happened. When you die, you will have nothing to do with your people, your children, and everything else. You canât even bother yourself with your funeral.â
The queen remained quiet.
âAre decades of life too short? Not really. Many canât even live until your age. All we can do is live each day to the fullest. So why must you be so hard on yourself? Whatâs more important than being happy?
âWhy bother yourself with your country? You should let the next generation deal with it. Itâs time for you to rest!â Dominic got carried away as he patted the back of Yasminâs hand.
The queen was stunned.
âOopsie,â Dominic said half-jokingly and withdrew his hand. He then got up and said, âI know you wonât listen to others because you arenât used to it. Still, you should really take it easy and treat yourself better.
I have to go and rest. You should, too.â
He stretched and headed out of the room.
Rick was standing guard outside when he saw the door open. He hurried over and lowered his head, saying, âSirâ¦â
âIâd like to get some sleep,â Dominic said arrogantly, arms akimbo.
Rick treated the old man as a VIP and was not upset. âRight away, sir.â
After getting someone to take the old man back to his room, Rick entered to see Yasmin. âYour Majesty?â
âLeave me alone.â Yasmin waved him off and looked away.
Rick did as she said when he realized she looked much better despite her weak voice.
When he stepped out of the room, someone approached him. âPrince Ross demanded to see Her Majesty.â
Rick frowned. âThe queen says His Highness needs her rest, and no one is to disturb her.â
In other words, she wanted Ross to stay restrained.
âYes, sir.â The guard turned and hurried away.
Rick quickly said, âWait!â After a momentâs hesitation, he added, âIâll go.â
Ross was enraged in his bedroom. âWhy canât you let me out of the room? I want to see Her Majesty. I want to know how sheâs doing!â
He couldnât help but feel worried. He even felt he should not have been so harsh on his mother. After all, she was old and in bad shape. Still, the guards outside refused to let him out, which infuriated him.
âHow dare they stop me! Iâm the prince, for crying out loud!â
