Before Brandon finished his words, Alexander called his name again, "Brandon..."

"_.What?"

Brandon asked as he thought, ‘Why does he need to call me with that tone? It gives me the chills"

"Don’t video call me next time."

Brandon was speechless, while Lily was stunned for a moment before bursting into laughter.

‘Is it okay for him to insult his friend this way? He’s so mean, so I bet he made many enemies for himself out there.Whatever.He’s not scared of them anyway"

Watching the video calls Alexander had been on felt like watching a comedy to Lily.

The thing was that she had to suppress her laughter.She could not help it earlier and made a soft sound, but Brandon had caught it.

Suddenly, she remembered that Brandon called her a vixen who seduced Alexander and made a mental note to get back at him in the future!

"Why are you so happy?"

Alexander threw her a sideways glance.She was now lying on the couch, laughing her heart out, but she tried to hide it by covering her face with the throw pillow.

Lily sat up straight but still could not hold her laughter in.

"I just think that it’s a tough job being your family friend!"

Alexander was so blunt even when he was good friends with Brandon, so Lily could only imagine how hurtful his words would be for his regular friends.She suddenly realized that he was not someone she wanted to mess with.

Alexander bent down and supported himself with his two palms pressing down on the couch, trapping her between his body and the couch.

"It’s alright.You don’t need to be my family friend.You just need to be my family!"

Lily was speechless and thought, ‘Why are we still on this topic? Isn’t he supposed to be happy about how much I trust him and that I’m not jealous? His expression doesn’t look right, though"

After thinking for a moment, Lily probed, "Should I...be jealous?"

Alexander’s expression became worse right away, and he said unhappily.

"What do you mean by that? You should ask yourself if you should feel that way."

Lily was confused.
