"Sorry for being late."

A familiar voice sounded.

Lily’s expression finally relaxed as she looked over and saw Justin walking into the hall.He was accompanied by both his personal assistant and a director of the company.

Lily knew who they were.

Jonathan frowned upon seeing the two people walking side by side with Justin.

"Justin, we’re gathered today to discuss our family’s matters.Why are you late, and why did you bring outsiders with you? What’s wrong with you?"

"Outsiders?"

Justin laughed, glancing at both sides before averting his eyes back to Jonathan, then to Henry.

"Humans are the most unpredictable beings in this world.It’s hard to tell who’s really family or an outsider!"

His words had a hidden meaning, making Jonathan's expression turn dark instantly.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Granduncle Jonathan, don’t you understand what I mean? It’s all right.Just sit back and watch the show.You'll understand it soon enough!"

Justin motioned for the two men next to him to move to the side before he turned to face the surrounding elders.

"To all the Lodge family elders, I'd like to apologize for being late.There were some urgent matters at the company which I needed to attend to, and it took some time."

"Justin! I’m the one in control of the family now! Don’t you forget that!"

Jonathan was displeased for being neglected, so he took out the family seal and placed it on the table.

The low sound reminded Justin that he had already passed his family seal to Jonathan.

Justin looked back, smiling as he said, "Oh, right.If you had not mentioned it, I might have forgotten.Granduncle, I passed the seal to you for temporary safekeeping a few days ago.Thank you so much for helping me, and it’s time I take it back and continue with my duties."

With that, Justin stretched his arm to reach for the seal.

Jonathan's expression changed as he had not expected Justin to say such a thing or even have the audacity to take the seal back.

He pressed Justin’s hand down, berating, "Justin! What are you doing? Do you think owning the family seal is child’s play? How could you pass it over and take it back as you wish?"

Henry's expression soured when he noticed that Jonathan's and Justin's hands clutched the seal.He badly wanted to snatch it from them.

In the face of Jonathan’s rebuke, Justin only sneered, "Child’s play? Over the last few days, the bunch of you have been creating chaos in the family, hoping to take over its management.You guys would do anything for the family seal, including tarnishing the image of the family! None of you cared that Grandpa had just passed away.Don’t you guys find the things you did pathetic?"

When Lily heard Justin's response, she felt a sense of relief.She was beginning to worry that Justin had given up because he was discouraged or for some other reason, but now she saw the old Justin again.

"Justin! Do you know who you’re talking to?"

Jonathan was trembling with anger.He did not expect Justin to dare speak to him in such a manner as he was much older.

However, Justin did not care about their pride this time around and smirked coldly.

"I’m the head of the Lodge family.I possess the family seal and have the authority to make all decisions in this family.Do you know who you're talking to?"
