Chapter 744

"That’s horsesh*t!"

She shot Jenny a glare and slapped her tummy with both hands.

"Do I look pregnant to you?"

"Hey, not your tummy!"

Hurrying over to stop Lily’s hands, Jenny touched her belly.

"Still rather flat.If you’re pregnant, I’ll say it’s not past three months."

Finding it both hilarious and frustrating, Lily pulled Jenny’s hands off.

"Well, I’m not! I had my period last month.How can I be pregnant for three months?"

"What about this month, then?" Jenny asked half-jokingly.

"The month’s not even over..."

Lily thought back to when she last had her period and realized it had been over a month.She usually ignored her periods, and since she had been so preoccupied recently, she had just forgotten about this one.

After being reminded, Lily realized she had missed this month's period.

Jenny guessed what was going on based on Lily’s face and crouched down, nervous for her.

"Why? You’re not really pregnant, are you?"

"How can it be possible?"

She laughed, although it rang a little false.

"I must’ ve had too much pressure, and my period is just late.I’m not pregnant."

"It’s hard to say.If your periods have always been punctual but not this time, you better take note.There’s no certainty as to when we'll get pregnant."

"No!"

Shaking her head, Lily claimed confidently, "No f*cking way!"

"Why not? Unless you’ve never had s*x!"

Lily blushed at this question.

"Let’s not talk about it, okay?"

"Hey, I’m not trying to pry into your private matters, but if there’s a possibility, you should have a checkup to make sure.You deal with scents and essential oils, which contain chemicals besides natural ingredients.Even if they are raw materials, I’m sure some of them are not suitable for a pregnant woman to take in over a long period, right?"

Jenny looked serious.

"Although I’ve never given birth, my sister had.She also reminded me to be extra careful with the stuff we often encounter."

Speechless, Lily grew a bit nervous now.She knew that Jenny was right that some of the stuff they handled were not suitable fora pregnant woman to handle.

However, was she really pregnant? She started to panic, not knowing the answer.

"Still, it’s a good thing if you get pregnant so that you can get some rest for yourself and your baby."

Jenny added, "There’s no hurry concerning your studio.Just take your time."

Her suggestion appeared simple, but Lily doubted it was.

Lily could not give up on her studio just when it was getting off the ground.She had promised Lisa to create a themed series, too.

If she got pregnant now, wouldn’t she need to break her promise?

"Now that my resignation has been approved, I’ll head back then."

Having no mood to stay and enjoy her tea, Lily got to her feet.

"Jen, I should get going.Come over to the studio whenever you're free.I'll send you the address later."

"Please.Spare me your courtesy, okay?"

Shaking her head, Jenny asked in concern, "If you’re worried, have a checkup at the hospital.At least you can prepare yourself once you know for sure."
