Chapter 214
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Theodore narrowed his eyes and snapped coldly, âAnd how is it appropriate for you to be here?!
Donât forget, youâre still a married woman!â
âDonât forget, weâre getting divorced tomorrow,â Rosalie retorted.
âItâs today, not tomorrow,â Theodore snapped back.
He grabbed the iron gate, causing it to rattle. Rosalie instinctively took a few steps back, her face
filled with fear.
Seeing the fear in her eyes, Theodore realized he had frightened her. He softened his tone, and
released the gate.
âAs long as weâre not divorced yet, youâre still Mrs. Spencer. What would people say about you
staying overnight at another manâs place?
âSeriously?â Rosalie scoffed. âAnd what about you?! Youâre a married man, but when another
woman calls you, you rush to accompany her and stay out all night. What does that make you?â
âThatâs different. Cindy was sick, I had to go to the hospital! What about you and Sebastian? I bet
you two have been fooling around for ages!â
Rosalieâs heart skipped a beat, her eyes widened in shock. âWhat nonsense are you spouting?
When did I ever get involved with him? Weâre just friends! Donât make baseless accusations!â
Theodore was being absurd. He was fooling around with Cynthia, yet here he was, accusing her!
âBaseless accusations? Hah.â Theodore clenched his fists. âDidnât you tell me that you first met
Sebastian in college? I asked you again
later, and you gave the same answer. Youâre lying to me! You knew him before that.â
Rosalieâs heart sank, and she shot him an incredulous look. âWhat do you mean?â
âWhat do I mean? Canât you understand?â Theodoreâs face turned grim as he continued
sarcastically, âOn your birthday, you were all dressed up and having dinner with him. Thatâs not a
wonder, though, since youâve been together for a while, right? It was your birthday, so of course you
wanted him there!â
Rosalieâs head was spinning. She felt as though someone had struck her on her head. Caleb was
probably the one who told Theodore about that day.
Theodore turned red with anger, his teeth clenched. âWhy arenât you saying anything? Feeling
guilty?â
âWhy should I feel guilty?â Rosalieâs eyes were fearless. âYes, I did have dinner with Sebastian on
my birthday. That was the first time I met him. The restaurant was fully booked, so we shared a
table. Caleb probably misunderstood when he saw us. Later, I told you we first met in college to
avoid any misunderstandings.â
âMisunderstandings? Are you sure?â Theodore smirked cynically, not believing a word.
âWhether you believe it or not, that is the truth. I have nothing to gain from lying to you now. Weâre
getting divorced anyway, and itâs not like I want to salvage anything in this relationship. Whatâs the
point of lying to you?â she shot back.
Theodore clenched his fist and slammed it against the iron gate and a loud bang resounded. The
resounding noise from
him the impression of a tran
cage.
Rosalie took a deep breath, trying hard to restrain her panic.
âLeave, please. Weâll meet at the clerkâs office at nine tomorrow.â
This was the last night she would get angry because of him. She was tired of being accused by him
over and over again for no reason.
âCome back with me!â Theodore demanded sternly. âI wonât allow you to stay here tonight!â
Rosalie must have come here last night. Had he known about this yesterday, he would never have
let Rosalie come here.
His wife actually spent the night at another manâs place!
Even though he was divorcing her, Theodore couldnât accept it. Whether it was due to male
possessiveness or an inferiority complex,
he just couldnât allow it!
