Chapter 217
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
Rosalie sneered, âDo you think this is fair to Cynthia? Sheâs waiting in the hospital, hoping youâll
divorce me. You promise her every time, but you keep breaking your word. Have you ever thought
about how she feels? How can you be with her if you donât divorce me?â
âDonât worry, Iâll handle everything with Cindy,â Theodore said nonchalantly, adjusting his sleeve.
âEven if I donât divorce you, I can still have a wedding with Cindy. As for you and me, our marriage
is just in name only. You can stay alone, while Cindy and I go on with our lives.â
âTheodore, youâre despicable,â Sebastian seethed, his anger boiling over. âYouâre hurting both Rose
and Cynthia. Youâre a real bastard!â
âYes, Iâm a bastard!â Theodoreâs eyes were cold, and he let out a mocking laugh. âThings are
already this way, so whatâs the worst that can happen now?â
He straightened up, his voice turning icy. âRosalie, since you donât want to come back with me, stay
here. Donât bother going to the clerkâs office tomorrow. Weâll just drag this out. It wonât stop me from
enjoying myself.â
Theodore pulled open the car door, and he got in without starting the engine, as if he were waiting.
Rosalieâs legs went weak, and she sank to the ground in agony. She felt like she was on the edge
of a volcano. Theodoreâs despicable behavior continuously shattered her perception of him. She
never imagined he could go this far.
It was laughableâshe had once believed he had some good in him. Now, it was clear that whatever
good she saw was completely overshadowed by his current actions.
âRose,â Sebastian said, stepping forward to support her as she struggled to stand, his concern
evident. âLet me help you back to rest. Donât worry about what Theodore says. Heâs just trying to
threaten you.â
Rosalie still clung to the iron gate, knowing full well that Theodore was using the threat of not
divorcing her to force her to go back with him. She truly had enough of this marriage.
She couldnât bear the thought of continuing like this, and she was especially worried about the baby
she was carrying. The doctor had repeatedly stressed the importance of her taking good care of
herself âbut with everything happening recently, her health was at risk. If they didnât divorce soon
and more stress affected her, it might harm the baby.
No, she had to get divorced tomorrow, no matter what it took!
She had enough of Theodore using his status as her husband to hurt her without remorse!
Theodore seemed to lose patience. He started the engine and drove off. Rosalie panicked and
quickly pressed a button next to the iron gate. As the gate opened, she ran out.
Sebastian chased after her. âRose!â
âTheodore, wait! Stop right there!â Rosalie shouted.
The car hadnât gone far, and came to a halt at her call.
Rosalie stopped, clutching her stomach, and turned to Sebastian. âIâll go with him tomorrow to get
the divorce. Iâm leaving now.â
âRose, are you sure you want to go with him? Iâm worried about you.â
âDonât worry about me. Iâll be fine. It will all be over tomorrow. Thank you for everything. Weâll stay in
touch.â
