Chapter 255
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
âItâs my fault. Iâm the most useless one. If I hadnât married into the Spencer family, none of this
would have happened. Iâm the one whoâs a burden!â
Then, Sydney turned and ran.
âSydney!â Wesley was about to chase after her, but then turned back.â He pointed angrily at
Theodore. âLook at what youâve done! Your mother came all this way to see you out of kindness,
and you have the nerve to say she doesnât care about you!
âIf she didnât care, she wouldnât have come all this way! I admit Iâm at fault, but since Iâve already
walked down the wrong path, your
shouldnât have followed what I did. But now, youâve gone and done it again. Luckily, Rose doesnât
have any children, or theyâd end up like youâa curse!â
There was not just anger in Wesleyâs eyes but also sadnessâmore so, a sense of resignation. After
speaking, he turned to chase after Sydney.
âSydney, wait!â Wesley caught up, grabbing her hand and pulling her back. âDonât run away!â
âLet go of me!â Sydney tried to break free with all her strength, but Wesley seemed to have
anticipated this, holding onto her arm tightly.
Sydney struggled desperately, but Wesley simply pulled her into his embrace. âI wonât let go!â
âYou bastard, let me go! Let go!â
Wesley held her firmly. âYou can hit me, curse me, do whatever you want, but you canât drive back
alone like this. Iâll drive you.â
âI donât want you to drive me! I donât need your fake kindness!â Sydney lifted her head, glaring at
him with anger. âDonât think Iâll forgive your just because of this!â
âIâm not asking for your forgiveness, but no matter what, Iâm driving you home today!â
Sydney was too worked up now, so he couldnât let her drive back alone. Wesley was usually very
accommodating to Sydney, even as humble as dirt.
However, this time, his attitude was unusually resolute. Despite
Sydneyâs struggles, he lifted her up into his arms and walked towards the car.
Sydney pounded on his chest a few times in his embrace, but eventually, she ran out of strength
and quietly lay in his arms.
In the living room, Theodore and Rosalie were still standing there. Rosalie stared at Theodoreâs tall
figure silently.
Suddenly, the towering figure before her seemed to sway, and he fell to the ground heavily.
âTheo!â Rosalie rushed forward, squatting down to help him up.
However, she was petite and didnât have much strength. Her hands. pressed against the ground,
and large beads of sweat dripped down her forehead.
âTheo, please get up quickly. Let me help you back to bed to rest.â
Theodore sat up straight. He took a deep breath, turned his head, and stared silently at Rosalie.
After a while, he asked hoarsely, âAm I a bastard?â
Rosalie stared at him blankly, then said, âThank you for standing up
for me in front of your mother.â
Today, many things had caught her off guard. What surprised her the most was Sydney suddenly
giving her a hard time and Theodore standing up for her.
âItâs not your fault. You shouldnât be blamed. Itâs all my fault. If I hadnât been born, none of this would
have happened.â
His dim eyes lacked any life as he spoke.
âDonât say such things anymore. Your existence has value. Donât talk about yourself like that,â
Rosalie said sadly.
Who could have imagined that such a prodigy would also have such a selfâdeprecating side?
âWhat value?â Theodore chuckled selfâdeprecatingly. âThe value of making you sad and upset?â
